The drivers need to make some attempt to actually deliver a package.Leaving instructions isn't always an option when getting a delivery from a store.
Here's what I got for over a week (including weekend) period. 1st attemp - no notice, 2nd attempt - no notice, 3rd attempt - return to sender notice and notice for 2nd attempt. Customer service said I'd get a call from the local center, message they left said package returned call 1-800-UPS or contact about delivery. I ordered through a store...
2nd call wanted to file a complaint after explaining everything and they then asked what I wanted to complain about!?!?!?!This whole time all they had to do was take 30 seconds to look up my name on my apartment call box and ring my directly and wait 1 minute while i came downstairs. 315ed85

If they only had a handful of stops in a 9 hour day, they would be able to.
They leave with more than 150 individual addresses per day, there fore they are not able to wait around.
