Unsanitary product sold at Target

Long story short, I went to Target to purchase an exercise item.When I got home I opened this product that I thought had never been opened, only to find that it was missing items and it was used!.

I mean sweat rings and all|. So I calmly returned it;. The personnel at the customer service began questioning my return and if I had checked the box for all the items before purchasing?. To which I replied " I'm sure that is your job description"|.

It's one thing if someone opened the box and used the product in store, but to me it looks like it was returned without some of the items and freaking dirty|. No one checked it and now I must be inconvenienced while waiting for the 100 bux to show up in my account after two to three business days/.

There is someone at this company whose job is to check these things,.Fire them! 3806fdc

The clerk has to ask those questions, but for you to pop off with 'that is your job' is plain rude. ***, what is it with people and their need to lord it over the lowly plebians who work in retail? Are you so desperate to feel like a big shot that you have to demean someone who would risk their job to defend themselves?

I had a similar problem at Target, and when I tried to return the products because of misrepresentation and bait and switch, I was told that the problem was mine because I did not check EACH box with 24 individual pieces of product per box. Long story short, now if I ever have the terrible misfortune of having to return to Target to purchase any iten that cannot be purchased elsewhere, or if I am with someone who must shop there, I will sit in the middle of the aisle and open each box, check the merchandise thoroughly, count the pieces contained in each box and make sure that the same products are in each box. I shall open each box ACCORDING TO THE QUESTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FROM T A R G E T CORPORATE. Since they have decreed that I must inspect ANY product purchased there, I will strictly adhere to their policy. I hope that I never have to darken their doors again, but in the event of an unavoidable need, I will comply with the expectations of Target's management and Target corporate.

You should have been able to tell if the box the product came in had been opened previously or not. Even if it had been opened and re-taped, it would have looked differently than from the manufacturer. In fact the boxes that don't have to be taped, are hard enough to open that a person would be able to tell if the box had been opened. No matter what I buy if the box/package looks like it has been tampered with I look for a different on. Most places ask the person returning an item if there is anything wrong with it and if it is all there, and take their word for it.
