IF you are thinking of establishing an IRA trust account with Sterling, DON'T!If you have an account already, I would move it!
I recently transferred some assets into my account with them!. Paid an extra fee for "express" processing'. The customer rep I spoke with ahead of time confirmed the info on the website that states all forms will be processed and forwarded within 24 hours/. The actual turn around time was 9 days!
When I called to inquire why so long after paying the express fee, the customer rep was abrupt and rude, would provide no explanation other than "everything was processed appropriately"!. A few days later I emailed forms to make a private equity investment using the email address on the forms that Sterling had sent me?. 4 days later all of the emails were returned undeliverable.. When I called to inquire, I was informed that the address on the form was incorrect!.
When I indicated that I now needed to get this processed ASAP, I again received abrupt, discourteous responses that I should just send the forms to the correct email address:.I am in the process of moving my account. 3098074
