$225
Sold me a 8GB non working Google Nexus tablet in a 16GB box?.
When I tried to return it within 1 hour of purchase, they said I subjected the motherboard to water damage , tampered with the connections and returned it back!!! Office of the president is a joke , all service reps are highly frustrated losers , who have no value or respect to talk to their customer/. So much for customer service from the office of the president:. One particular service rep-Ryan (last name R***something) is particularly the highest frustrated if them all?.
The store manager at the Fremont hub staples and the Tech Support team are a bunch of college drop out Hippies:. They don't understand the essence of Retail and customer service'. Made us wait for 2 hours as the manager was happily chatting away on an animated telephonic conversation'. Accused me of tampering the device and return it , all in the 1 hour of purchase while it takes 20 mins 1 way for me to drive to the store!!! The product was essentially a damaged or returned and repackaged before reselling it:. Paid $225 for a piece of junk. They then asked me to talk to Asus and Google!!
If Asus and Google is to manage the show , why do they even retail products they don't manufacture. Therefore, dear all purchase only school notebooks and pens at Staples!!! A $5 loss is manageable as against a $225 or higher loss. 2f589b6

That being said I could see how a store could have bad workers and mix up the two and put the wrong one in the box. Most people don't know how many Nexus have actually been returned because they don't work. It's more then average and it's probably why they haven't been sending 16's to my store for weeks, only the 32's.
You must not have worked in retail before. People have gone out to their car and switched working tech for a similar damaged one to get their money back and sell the working one. I've had someone try returning a laptop with a different serial number on the box which I refused only to find out later he got charged for doing a few switcher roos at other stores. Blame the store a little, blame *** human beings more. You got the short end of the stick because of criminals causing problems and most stores will have the same return policy rather then risk losing thousands a day.

Thankfully I never had to work at retail stores in sales positions, and working at a huge corporate helps me make so much that I can let go of the Nexus cost. It is not about the loss, it is the values to which a organization and its employees stand. It was not the store but the office of the president as well that were not ready to take ownership of their issues that shows that Staples is now the way of Circuit City or Enron. College drop-outs with foul attitudes mess up the company's image.Anyways this has gone to the consumer affairs dept and will be taking it from there. Not sure if I have to say thanks, but ya whatever, thanks anyway.
