I have a big time issue with ReputationDefender.com.This is the worst company I have ever worked with.

Reputation Defender is condescending, disrespectful, and they do not know how to do SEO work! simply as that. They make you promises and talk the big talk but, do not follow through and NOT ONE PROMISE is kept. Unfortunately you've already lost thousands of dollars by then, trusting all the hog wash and excuses.

We have lost money with ReputationDefender, and NO, they don't have a money back guarantee.Reputation Defender is in this only for the money they don't care about the client 3080312

I agree. ReputationDefendermakes broken promises. You spend thousands of dollars and they don't deliver. I was told that my rep would be in touch with me often, which is the opposite. It's like pulling teeth to get someone on the phone. The sales rep uses the schpeel that they are backed up by vc firms. Avoid using them unless you would like to throw away money. :(

Are we talking about reputationdefender.com or reputation.com. They are two very separate companies. So far what I have seen and heard from reputation.com they are quite legit! They have many recommendations from very reputable businesses. Reputationdefender does not. Can you please verify that you have worked with reputation.com and that is who you are talking about? None of what we have discussed sounds anything like what you have posted and I want to make sure.

Obviously, they can't do much or this would not be in the first page of google search.

Thanks so much to everyone who posted! Our car dealership Earnhardts were considering using them as we heard an advertisement. Does Reputation Defender not figure that individual companies who have decided to possibly use them, might consider reading their own comments? I was given the okay to use Reputation Defender. That was until the owner said, "first run a check on Reputation Defender . Well I think at this point WE WILL DEFINATELY PASS. A huge thank you is in order to everyone who posted information regarding Reputation Defender, Will never use this company! Never! :p

Brad Munroe, their head of marketing, basically is a one-man cyber bully, putting out as many bad reviews as he can. What a way to build business.

Don't trust Reputation.com. All they do is to send you a list of web sites contacts information for YOU to try, ON YOUR OWN, to remove your information.
That means: lots of emails, phone calls, faxes, back-and-forthing....To make a long story short, YOU have to wrestle all those information-distributing companies YOURSELF AND ON YOUR OWN.
Don't waste your money with Reputation.com

Before you give up entirely & think all companies like this are scams this about this first I beg you, because this is something I think we can all relate to:

If you had a bad experience with Auto Repair Mechanic would you give up forever getting your car fixed, try to fix it yourself, or buy a new car every time something went wrong with your engine? Of course not! Next time you would just try to minimize risk and make a more informed decision before you paid for services. You would ask for referrals, ask a friend....you do something so the next time you feel secure in your purchase.

This is the same with Online Marketing. Talk with someone you feel like you can trust, and someone that isn't going to rush you, but instead help guide you and provide you with information. Always follow this very important steps:

1. Always be weary of anyone who won't put what they are claiming they will do into writing and a formal proposal.

2. Someone that won't give you the physical address of the company. And always check the address because some are claiming to have a US address and really they don't and are located outside the US.

3. Never do business with someone who doesn't accept CREDIT CARDS! Stay away from anyone who only will take paypal or check. They way I run my business is I encourage people to pay by credit card, that way if I didn't do the work stated I would do in my written proposal, you

Reputation.com, the roach motel of purported reputation defenders. Once you check in, you can't check out. Be careful about calling them and flagging your search problem, once they know you are interested and motivated to remove it, unless you pay them their exorbitant rates your issue seems to all of a sudden become amazingly sticky at the top of your search results. Caveat emptor

I contacted reputation.com about cleaning up one google result that showed up on my first page. Due to the high price, I decided to do the work myself. I had the info. pushed to the second page and it was moving on down. Reputation.com kept calling and calling...then low and behold, my information that I was trying to move to later pages, showed up again--as my 3rd result. I know that they had a hand in this.
