I send Quirky a invention and never hear if Quirky is using the product to fell there pocket with my invention. There forms are so difficult to fill them out.
Specially there 3D or there pitch video. Plus Quirky phone number been out of order for a long time>
I had the same problem with Quirky, I did not see it on the web site since it is not on their how it works section. it is only on their QA section.
as soon as I found out, before anything was done I asked to remove it,They wouldn't.
It is a scam, There is no way that by joining or sending the Idea for review that quirky can own the Idea.
I suggest that if there other people who went through the same ordeal with quirky, should get together and go ahead with a fraud investigation . I filed a complaint with the Attorney General, the more of us complain the better and more effective it is.
Don't submit anything without a confidentiality agreement.
When I emailed Quirky about his they replied they don't work that way
Then they don't work for you. Nothing's free. They have a contract
You sign that legalizes stealing. Mass produce your invention and sell
A crapload before anyone else can manufacture and go patent pending.
They ripped me off for $40. I signed up for the $99 one year unlimited submissions.
After submitting 6 ideas I realized they did not have the expertise and understanding to work on complicated ideas. They only look for simple projects that require very little R&D to bring to market. I emailed asking them "How do I delete my account, if I choose to do so"? Instead of giving me the requested information, they deleted my account!
I did not ask them to do that, just to tell me how to do it, if I chose to do it at some point! They refused to reinstate the account or refund my $40!
Its a rip-off. Steer clear of this scam site!
In addition - quirky was made aware to the conflict and continued with the project. I am smelling triple damages.
I hope she takes them for everything they got. I hope the community of inventors supports her in her efforts.
