I rented 2 spaces at Public Storage in Hialeah, FL, in order to store 2 commercial vans from a company that was closing operations!.By the end of the 1st month Public Storage, without any more advice and option, they ask me to take out the cars because they were going to do some maintenance in their parking lot, so I had to take my cars out and park them where I could/.

When I asked if they weer going to discount from my rent those days, they told me that they were going to charge me the full rent for the month, no matter if I took out the cars before the end of the month, because their contract establish that no matter if you have to take out your stuff because of a failure from them, you have to pay anyway.. Facing this, I decided to hire another place where to park the cars because they had no date when the maintenance will be finished|. Also, then, they charge me the entire month plus the next month without any notice|. I told them that I was willing to pay just for the right thing, which was 1 month, even though I took the cars out on day 25Th".

It was unfair to pay 2 month if I didn't use it|.

The manager was very rude, and told me that this was the policy and he could do nothing about it, so he send me to a collection company, just like that?.This is not fair with your clients, NEVER USE PUBLIC STORAGE 38a3118

I recently accepted a job with Public Storage. I am a week into it and I am already looking for another job. Their business tactics are deceptive. Avoid this company at all costs.

Let's get this right, you paid, Public Storage was unable to fulfill the contract, and they now demand more money and probably have submitted an attempt to collect the money they demand to a collection agency which will be more expensive that the good faith they should have provided you. They are showing their true colors. We recommend an immediate complaint to every comsumer affairs agency that you can find. We also recommend that you immediately notify the credit reporting bureau's this situation as an initial protest of Public Storage's actions. If this does not help, the usual step is to hire a lawyer. These guys seem to be so bad that we actually believe such stories.
