On Dec. 16th I tried to purchase a gift card from Pottery Barn. At check-out their system failed. I received a message that the requested link was not available. Clicked back one page and received a message that the system was down. Tried calling PB, but they were "experiencing unusually heavy volume". 1 hour later I received an email from PB thanking me for my order. Yet. I had already...
Uh! I can't believe I am writing this about "Pottery Barn". I ordered a jewelry box for my mother for Christmas early in December but I never received the item. When I called "Pottery Barn" to ask about the status, I was informed that the item was coming and it would arrive on December 24th. December 24th came and went and the item never arrived. On December 26th, I called "Pottery Barn" and...
We shopped locally in Tucson, AZ for an expensive sofa at Pottery Barn. We paid for the sofa and and was promised a delivery date within 10 days. At this time, 2 weeks later, we are still waiting on delivery and are now being told it will be after the New Year. Apparently, Pottery Barn outsources delivery and guarantee dates, etc. they are unable to keep. We tracked the merchandise and see...
I ordered several pieces of the Daily Wall System on Nov. 12. My order total was $252.61. Several of the pieces were on back order and as a result, I received my order in four separate shipments over the course of about a month-last part was shipped Dec 6th. Pottery Barn has a nonsensical policy of charging your card when it ships the item instead of merely charging it at the time of your order....
I purchased a table from PB and spent over $700 including delivery charges. I returned the table because the quality was terrible. PB has not credited my card for the price of the item and it has been over 2 weeks since I returned it. For a company with a business model built primarily around catalog and Internet sales, it is remarkable that they have such a difficult time refunding a customer's...
I order the Whitney corner desk on 10/31/13. Told it would be in by Saturday and someone would contact me for delivery. A week went by, no call. (My charge card was billed) called the store and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Was then told one item was on back order. Several more weeks went by. Finally got a call to set up delivery for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with a time frame of...
Pottery Barn has always been my go to store for decorating and gifts. When I bought a house and went to shop for my furniture, I was beyond excited! I had a lovely woman wait on me, she really tried hard. She explained that she was new, so I was understanding of her having to ask another associate to help. She took all of my info and said one of the specialists would work up an estimate for me....
I ordered a dog feeding rack and two monogrammed ceramic bowls on November 11. My visa account was charged for the entire purchase $94.05 that day. I received the rack but was told the bowls were backordered and would be shipped on December 2nd. Today, December 8th I called and was told the bowls were permanently unavailable. Why wasn't I informed? Why didn't they refund me for the remainder of...
The pearl embroidered grand duvet cover is absolutely the cheapest, over priced item I've ever encountered. So disappointed. Material is tissue paper thin and washes/dries into a crinkled mess. Dry cleaner refused to iron it because the fabric would not survive mild steam/heat. I tried stretching it in a damp state (stuck with it, trying to make it work) and am left with a wrinkled, stiff,...
So I ordered the Hampton mirror tower vanity set that costs about $2,199+tax. I was really excited to receive because I am starting a cosmetic business. After 3 weeks, they called me to set my delivery date. I chose 1 week ahead of when they called. The next day, they called me to tell me that the had to cancel due to product damage. They told me they would call back within the week to reschedule...
