When a canine is 'nicked' by a groomer, it may be as much as 10 days before it is noticed, depending on the pet's sensitivity and other factors. Mine was nicked and it was at least 10 days before I saw the raw skin spot my dog had licked the fur off of as the nick became infected.
I returned to the store, complained and got nothing but condescending b.s. from the store manger whom it became obvious doesn't have a lot of experience with groomer wounds. He insisted the wound would heal in two weeks (yet my pets wound was more than that, and still not healed) and he wouldn't even view it. He did say if I had brought the dog in a few days after the wound he would have sent it to his own vet.
There was more to my complaint regarding this service but the store manger had no response other than 'there's nothing I can do about it'
The truth is there is nothing he wanted to do about it; including say he was sorry my pet was suffering because of Pet-smart's groomer.
I notice the other complaint's entered by others are similar to how some of the stores operate in Washington. Pet-smart is not a pet friendly place, nor do they honor their guarantees. 2faa285
