I went to purchase a couple of Merrick Wizzler sticks (8" beef jerky stick approx .8 oz)for my dog before we go on vacation.I normally purchase them at small family owned pet store but they were closed on Sunday where I pay $2.99 per Wizzler.

I noticed online that I can buy them on the internet for less than $2. The Merrick website said that they sold the product at Petco so off I went. I found the product right away next to lots of other Merrick products. Above the Wizzler's there was a price tag saying $7.99.

I asked for help for an employee who said that she didn't know if the price was right or not. As she began to walk away I asked her to check for me. She came back a moment later and said she spoke with her manager who confirmed that the price really is $7.99 per Wizzler. I then tracked down the manager to explain that I think she is mistaken, that the Wizzler couldn't possibly cost $7.99.

She said that the price was correct and that it was corporates fault. They have cheaper prices on the internet. I told her that I would never return to a Petco.
