On the front page of their website there's "coupon" saying to enter a certain to get "$5 off and Free Shipping* on any order over $49. It also says you'll get a free $5 coupon "for use on future purchases."

Note, the asterisk is next to Free Shipping, not the $5 off part.

I ordered $56+ worth of catfood, and entered that coupon code. It would not accept it, saying it's not good on food (only pharmaceuticals).

I called customer service and the nice lady said "I'm sorry you didn't see the fine print" etc etc.

On ANOTHER coupon on that front page, it had specified "good only on selected items." But not this one. This one clearly said ANY ORDER.

I went back and searched for the asterisk!. Way down at the bottom of the page there is a section, in literally very fine print, that says no offers are good on pet food".

They might be able to weasel out of it legally, but I want everyone to know that's exactly what they are - weasels, out to mislead and rip you off|.

When I called, I asked her about the coupon they'd have sent out, would that be good on food (it said "future purchases" and again, didn't qualify which purchases, nor was there an asterisk next to the phrase'.) Of course, she said no/. So that's actually $10 they promise and don't deliver on?. Due to sneaky tactics".

Here's the , though". Previously, I bought $38 worth of catfood from them via .com. That gave me "petcarerx points." She said let me look that up, because you CAN apply them to food. She said I had $7+ worth of points! I didn't want to deal with it right now so I said I'd use them next time.

Later I was thinking, how in the world can they offer so much money ($7+) on a $38 former purchase?!?

Then I realized: it was probably the exact amount that would put me under the $49 limit that gave me the free shipping.

What goes around comes around. And they've got a lot coming. I just wish I could be there to see it. 3168c83
