My husband and I came to Pearle Vision only because they were the only eyecare company in our area that accepted "CareCredit".It had been years since our eyes had been checked but over the years we knew we needed multi vision lens, and needed Transitions.
We both stated that we wanted the darkest light changing lens' available. Of course this was during their 'buy one, get one free' campaign!. My glasses were to be the ones bought ($687 including exam); progressive bifocals, with transition'. My husband needed trifocals, with transition;.
He is a 64 year old retired VietNam Veteran and needs trifocals, expected to have trouble adjusting to the lens change, so he opted for the lined,. He was NOT told the lined lens don't get as dark as the progressive!. We went back showing that my lens got darker than his but only then were we told the LINED LENS DON'T GET AS DARK AS THE PROGRESSIVE". Their solution was to buy a pair of progressive bifocals and another pair for the 3rd optic change!!!!
We can't afford to buy anything else from them! We have been in contact with the company via internet stating they would look to a solution?. When I go to the store to hear their solution, they don't call back (sarcastic 'surprise')?. So now I figure a public consumer complaint might get their attention!
I will still continue to nag so my husband doesn't need to change to his 6 year old sunglasses to drive on sunny days!Thanks for the venue to gripe! 3060118
