I bought a Pandigital Media Tablet on line for an extra ordinarily cheap price.I was also offered the option of purchasing a warranty so I did, a 2 year warranty.

I bought this item because I broke the glass on my 2 year old Pandigital (which I loved)The new tablet did not work. After numerous phone calls I find out that Pandigital went bankrupt and no longer provides tech support. I was also informed that Barnes and Noble no longer supports this product. I was also told that the problem was that I needed updated firmware which (see above) I can not get.

I was told to bring it back to a brick and mortar PC Richards and they would "work it out" I brought it to the store in Wayne NJ on Rt 46. Well, everything was warm and friendly with the manager, Mark Gilmore, until he told me all he would give me was a store credit. I need to have a product that Barnes and Noble supports or I may lose books I have already paid for. The only items the store carried started at over $200 when my credit would only be $70.

I have a warranty, that they sold me knowing they would probably not be able to honor it!. The clerk worked hard and found that the Hanover store had a brand new one for me so off I go for another 45 minute ride'. I made them open the box so I could see whether it worked which it of course did not and on top of the firmware issue the battery charger did not work|. Again, they only have very expensive items that B&N supports but due to the very diligent work and the easy rapport developed the sales person found, in the back, exactly what I wanted;.

A Nook Simple Touch! That is all I want or need, an e reader.. What would I, a 52 year old woman, do with a credit to an electronics store? I was treated extremely badly by this manager and to add insult to injury I found a whole write up about PC Richards that was done in 2009 where all the President and CFO talk about is making their customers happy even if it means losing money|.

Trust me this complaint will go to the company itself".

I want to reiterate that my issue is with the manager of the store, Mark Gilmore, the rest of the staff where wonderful:.While my loss was only $20 that is not the point AT ALL 30845d8

Lady what do you want the man to do? He's not an electronics expert and cant "fix" the product.No one working sales anywhere knows when a separate retailer will stop supporting a certain product. Offering you a full credit to use towards another device was more than generous.
