I've just ordered my first replacement dome. I'm going to throw away the rack provided to rest it on. It can't be good to sit it at an angle with the head on it . I'm going to sit the dome with head on it flat on my counter. Could be worth a try

I love the nuwave oven it is a great product Ive used it for 3 years Ive replaced the Faulty Lemon Dome TWICE and I need another Dome Now Shame on the company for knowing about the problem but doing nothing to help I see they have a new Power-Dome $50 +$14 sh Hey Nu-Wave a reputable company would send the solution THE POWER DOME to their costumers especially since ive spent almost the cost of the Nu-wave Oven on replacement domes

I did not realize that the $12.00 is for the mini version oven and now all they have is the $50.00 dome . I looked everywhere and couldn't find one. If anyone find a place to buy the cheaper dome please post it

its a rip off. you gotta call them for some reason they dont have it post online. i just paid $38 total for the cheap one that is probably going to crack again. it went up to $25 for the bigger dome now. if you guys live in the city they have the asian version of a nuwave for $50 at most of the asian store. it works just like the nuwave oven. Nu wave oven is a rip off.

oh my gosh. it unbelievable. we all have the exact freaking stories. i'm on my second dome and it is cracked all over. this product could have been the best without that cheap poor material dome. I wonder if this is made in china? I really wonder why this company kept on manufacturing this dome knowing too well it won't last. they should change the dome into a metal instead of a plastic. i'm trying to find a stainless dome food cover and i'll customize it to be the new dome.

I am on my 3 dome. My machine is about 2 years old, When I received my third one they did notify me that when you use the dishwasher you have to use the NO HEAT setting, if you don't this will cause it to crack.. I have had this 3rd dome for over a year and it is holding up fine

My Dome cracked also. Do not buy the nuwave oven. The plastic domes will crack and they become useless junk. Then they will charge you a ridiculous price for another plastic dome that is probably junk also.

I have the same problem mine cracked after a years time having trouble getting intouch with customer service. Not fair to the consumer to pay for a replacement after all this money that have made off of this product.

Unfortunately mine cracked too and although its only 15 to order a new one, its another 15 just to have it shipped which seems a little ridiculous.

I had received the nuwave last year as a gift and just began using it earlier this year. Within about 6 months it had already began cracking. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt to send them for the warranty and replacement part. Even if I did, they would still make me pay for shipping on something that is their fault. I agree, they need to really find better material to fix this.

:) Forgot to say (see earlier comment) that to preserve the plastic dome, I also do not pick it up by the heavy power head except, of course, when it's hot from cooking. The rest of the time, if the head is still on the dome, I pick up the unit with my hands on the dome, not on the head. Just makes sense.

:) I'm amazed that no one who's complained about the dome's cracking has made any effort to understand why and maybe avoid cracking the next one. When I read these complaints, having just bought my NW oven, I checked for what might be the problem and saw it right away: The power head is VERY heavy, and the dome is plastic. Chances are that constantly keeping the head on the dome places so much weight on it (together with the heat/cooling phases that stress the plastic)that it's almost bound to crack. So, I ONLY have the head on the dome when I'm using the oven. Otherwise, I store it at the bottom of the unit, inside the dome, and put a small plate or towel or whatever over the open hole. It's too early to tell how effective this will be over time, but it's got to be better than leaving the dome on all the time.

I agree that NuWave needs to redesign their domes. The plastic can't handle the heat. Mine cracked within the first year of use. It's almost like they do this on purpose to rip off the customer. They could fix this problem if they tried. :zzz

If you are unhappy with NuWave Oven, like we are...had the same problem...file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This hurts their A+ rating, seing as their customer service is TERRIBLE!!!

My Nu Wave dome cracked after a year of steady use. Having to pay $30 total to replace it is ridiculous! The manufacturer is fully aware of this flaw. After almost 10 years of manufacturing this appliance, you would think that they would have corrected this flaw. Heck No! Keep scamming the customer with those extra replacement charges! The sad thing is that I actually like this appliance. Too bad, I refuse to recommend it to anyone - unless you don't mind paying for a replacement part each year!
