I got a call one day that it was 'time for my computer tuneup' .. it struck me as a prank call liken to 'hey is your refrigerator running' Anyway, I succumbed to to the sales call and went with the computer tuneup. I took my laptop in on a Monday and got a call back that following Thursday stating that the laptop had some serious bios problems and that it was using a stolen version of windows....
I took my HTC one M7 that I broke to these guys. I knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it, I told them the problems and they told me they would get back to me "this morning". The phone had a software failure and had gone into "Qualcomm download mode" requiring a JTAG repair which I can do but don't have the equipment. I had to make an appointment for a diagnosis which was 0900 on day...
After my first initial complaint on them...they returned the product and now the screen flickers and freezes all the time. They not only collected $ up front but also ruined the charger to the tablet. Now that I am trying to get everything back to its original state they want me to send more Money to ship it back to them. I believe that you should stick by your service...and they are not doing...
I am still waiting for my tablet to be returned. I have had to initiate every call and get the same apology. Finally I was told that my tablet is on its way back after being tested and everythign works. Initially they came to the house and picked up the product and I have done everything they have asked. They were supposed to do a house service call and crimp some cat6 ends for me but forgot the...
nerdsused workorder signature to authorize automatic withdrawals from checking account. this went un-noticed for 14 months as account is not regularly used. was discovered when taxes were being done. Their solution was to send us the signed work order saying that we did indeed authorize the withdrawals. I am unable to locate anyone really in charge. I went into the store and employee said "ya...
A representative came to my house to "check" my laptop and suggested that they bring it back to there local store for diagnostic testing. I allowed them to, and 2 business days later they call and tell me they will have to send it to there headquarter store since there machines only run basic test; keeping in mind it's a $129 flat fee...from there they can tell me what's wrong, and how much it...
I had to have my computer reformatted several months ago by Nerds on Call(which they did a lousy job of and I had to go to another company to have it done properly). Apparently the job came with "3 months of free IT support" after which time they started charging my credit card $25/month - something I NEVER agreed to and wasn't told about. Pretty irate about this as when I called the company...
I called Nerds On Call to repair some basic problems I was having with my computer. They sent an on-site "technician" to "fix" the problems and downloaded all sorts of their software on my machine. The computer's performance actually got worse! They sold me on a service where technicican's can site your computer to repair it. After 8 hours, they left my machine with the inability to...
In July of 08 I called Nerds On Call to do a routine "pc checkup" on my computer. It was running slower than I thought it should for being 2 months old and I heard they install free anti-virus software (which by the way you can download your self) called AVG. The technician arrived at my house at 10 am the morning of the appointment and I was getting ready for a friends wedding later...
