SCAM ALERT****BE VERY, VERY CAUTIOUS DEALING WITH; PURE RV CANADA or MOTORHOME TRAVEL CANADA both are operated by MOTORHOME REPUBLIC**** operating out of Auckland New Zealand.The websites are very misleading re: which company you are dealing with.

I was starting booking process for trip to PEI with this company when I needed to cancel due to family emergency. It was basically 3 days from start of booking process to finish (I e-mailed them to cancel entire process) Never once did I ever confirm booking through their confirmation link and it did not matter. I was still charged deposit $$ + 80 % of total cost of RV directly on my credit card, cost me about $1200.00. I am currently trying to fight it legally.

Please the only way to prevent other people from being caught up in these shady dealings is if you e-mail company, or post comments on these types of consumer web sites or add comments to trip advsior to warn other consumers etc..Thank you 3033840

Steer clear of MOTORHOME REPUBLIC. Their online reservation process is, in my opinion unethical and borders laws. Do yourself a favour. Drive Away from any transaction with this company!!

In my opinion they are motivated by open wallets, sunshine on credit cards, bird-song cash registers, sunsets viewed from deckchairs while counting their money they have ripped from honest consumers hands. :(

Motorhome Republic's position is- if you enter your credit card information into online reservation form they can charge it...plain and simple. Does this seem ethical to you? :(

As the upcoming vacation season is fast approaching. Please be careful when booking online for an RV. First, if the company you are originally dealing with suddenly changes to Motorhome Republic.......STOP and BAIL OUT. This is your first clue that something is not right.

Motorhome Republic has declined comment on below case. This particular case has been filed as a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Canada as well as the Consumer Protection Agency.

As soon as you submit RV booking request, MOTORHOME REPUBLIC has authority to finalize and confirm your booking AND stack charges upon charges on your credit card. Seem right to you? Stick up for your consumer rights. Stay away from this company.

Here is a list of companies/websites that use MOTORHOME REPUBLIC as their reservation agents 1) PURE RV CANADA, MOTORHOME ROAD TRIP.COM, CAMPER VAN HIRE SALE FINDER, CHEAP MOTORHOME RENTAL, FETCH CAMPER VAN HIRE AND SENIOR MOTORHOME RENTAL. My recommendation would be deal directly with RV dealership and cut out the middle man completely- which in this case is MOTORHOME REPUBLIC. No need to deal with a company based in AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND. Drive AWAY from any website "powered by MOTORHOME REPUBLIC" You and your money will be easily parted.

we booked a motorhome for australia online through Real Value campers, which suddenly turned into Motorhome Republic. Paid top dollar, Motorhome Republic ordered a Cheapa Camper from Apollo. Paid top dollar, got a terribly, shabby, filthy van that had several faulty items. Recommend any consumer just sticks with Britz or Maui.

I wonder how many people have actually been charged/billed by MOTORHOME REPUBLIC for services/products that they were unaware of? OR did not authorize? I would not enter any website "powered by MOTORHOME REPUBLIC" Protect your money. People should be able to create the vacation package they want, submit for cost and availability, and confirm when happy. That would be the logical, stress free way. Planning vacations is tough enough without the threat of unauthrorized charges piling up on your credit card. FIND ANOTHER CREDIBLE REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT DOES NOT USE MOTORHOME REPUBLIC AS THEIR BOOKING AGENTS.

It breaks down like this.....MOTORHOME REPUBLIC is not acting in a responsible manner, they count on people entering their websites and completing application to rent an RV and then hit them with unauthorized charges right on their credit cards. GOTCHA!! Unbenounced to you they have already confirmed your booking.

MOTORHOME REPUBLICs reputation is slowly and steadily tarnishing as more and more people read thsese email threads. CAUTION- when companies like MOTORHOME REPUBLIC require you to enter all your credit card information in order to even start the booking process,,,,,that is a RED FLAG in my books. This company needs to revisit their booking process. UNFAIR PRACTICES on the part of PURE RV CANADA and MOTORHOME REPUBLIC.

UPDATE: This company MOTORHOME REPUBLIC has been contacted by both the credit card company as well as the Ontario Consumer Protection Agency. They continually refuse to reimburse my money. Consumer Protection can not force them to reconcile, however has provided some information to move forward legally. MOTORHOME REPUBLICS position is that the CANCELLATION policy was clearly spelled out to me at time of booking......the FACT is the cancellation policy was not made available to me until after they received my e-mail to cancel booking process, the other undisputable fact is that I NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO REVIEW FINAL STATEMENT, I NEVER CLICKED ON THE CONFIRMATION LINK........but that doesn't matter, just filling out the booking form according to them means that you have authorized final confirmation. I emplore you to be very carefull when booking an RV that uses MOTORHOME REPUBLIC from Auckland New Zealand as their reservation agency. Unless you can afford it. The money they crammed on my credit card put me way over the limit which will take me a long time to pay down...and for what...absolutely nothing.

Keep your RV rental business in Canada. Why would a company like PURE RV CANADA use a reservation agency like MOTORHOME REPUBLIC from New Zealand anyways. Very confusing
