When my security system was put in I signed a paper which I thought was saying I got the equipment.I lost my job and I can't afford the payment. When I called and asked them to cancel the acct., and come get the equipment they said it didn't matter if I cancelled or if they came and got the equipment I was under a contract for 6 years and even if I cancel I still have a contract to pay every month.They call my cell phone at least 5 times a day. Itell them the same thing I'm not working,you can't get what I don't have. 304a291

Remove their equipment, take a CLEAR photo of all of it, pack it up and send it back to them by certified mail. Contact your bank or whoever does your payments and tell them that you have returned the equipment and are no longer authorizing payments to them. They will send nasty-grams and warnings, put you in collections, and all that. But, when you go to court, have all the documentation, your lay-off notice, the certified receipt, and let it lay out. They may get a judgement against you but like so many "judgements" it's just a note and they still can't squeeze blood from a turnip.
