Menards - paint

The paint deptartment did not put on the lid to my paint and the paint spilled everywhere in my car. It looked like I killed a smurf in my . I have not been contacted and my are ruined plus two coats. They did make me another batch of paint and gave me paper towel to clean it up myself thanks for the help. The manager never even came and talk to me or apoligize for it happening or refund me for the paint their really Sucks ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Menards has insurance. If you filled out an incident repot you will get reinbursed for damages.

Not if he/she was the main cause of the issue. Only a fool would drive around with out a lid on their paint. If it was loose that would be another story, however, the OP did not say that. THE OP CLEARLY SAID THERE WAS NO LID.

Probably not hearing the whole story here. Something caused the can to tip over. My guess is the paint was siting on the back seat, the brakes were slammed on and the paint can flew off the seat onto the floor where to lid popped off and paint went flying. If you are going to complain, tell the whole story of how the paint can tipped over. :cry :cry :cry

This is a typical reply from people who work at menards. They are very anti-customer thinking that they only have bad customers, people trying to pull shams and scams. Why shop at a store that treats everyone like a shoplifter. Go to Lowes.

Try working at Menards for a week, see how *** people are that shop there. Also, suggestion Lowes is even more ignorant, they have double the complaints on here than Menards does. Did you even read the original post? A second grader could have produced a more understandable argument.

Heartless,Are you stoned??? Of course the paint dept is supposed to secure the lid after mixing the paint.(you do pound the lid on prior to shaking it!) Perhaps the "guest" should have placed the can in a box, then placed box on floor the of the car. (To minimize any damage from contents escaping the container
) That being said, any experienced coatings sales person will verify that the the lid is secured prior to giving the container to the customer.

He clearly said there was no LID AT ALL.........."The paint deptartment did not put on the lid to my paint" THINK ABOUT IT, all I can go on is the poor information he provided. So what is one to think, if he is dumb enough to drive around with out a lid then he got what he deserved.

So you accept no responsibility for this? You couldn't put the lid on yourself? You created this problem, not Menards. Why on earth would you just drive around with an open paint can in your back or front seat? I'm going to assume based off your information that you're beyond dvmb, I use a v because if I use a u it will censor it. What I believe to really have happened was Menards employee put the lid on it just was not on securely, however, at some point the consumer must take responsibility and double check everything. This is the exact reason Menards employees are not allowed to tie anything down for a customer. If in fact it never had a lid and you did nothing about it and proceed to drive around with it like this IT'S 100% YOUR FAULT.
