This is really unbelievable! My doctor sent five prescriptions for very ordinary medications to the mail order pharmacy Medco/ExpressScripts.
After waiting a week for the prescriptions to be filled, I finally called the customer service line and was told that one medication was not covered by my insurance and one medication was on long-term back order. The customer service agent had no idea why the third prescriptions wasn't filled, and she couldn't find prescriptions for the fourth and fifth medications. I asked why I was even bothering with a mail order pharmacy when they didn't seem able to provide any prescription medicine, all she could offer was, "Well, it usually works well."
In the end I told her to forget the whole order and that I would simply go to the CVS pharmacy down the street and get everything filled in 20 min.
It may be marginally more expensive at the CVS, but I'd have all my medications in less time than it took to even speak with a Medco/ExpressScripts customer service agent. 3017ae2

2. Long term backorder. No one can do anything about it. If a pharmacy still has stock they fill from that stock, once it is gone, the next patient is out of luck. Long term back orders are a manufacturer problem.
3. Third one no idea.
4 & 5. Quite possible the doctor did not send the last 2. Happens all the time and the pharmacy always gets the blame.
SO, did you go to CVS and get ALL scripts filled in 20 minutes?? Even the backorder one?? I doubt it.
