I got magic jack and it has not worked right sence I got it and thay want me to pay to get a replacement and also had problems with the umber they gave me and again thay want me to pay 10 dollers for a new number thus costing every time that do any thing its 10 dollers strang the drugs are bought in 10 dollers but any way here is the chat i had with them hope this gets the pont accross to every one !

i have had a magic jack for several years now and have had small issues with some static not all the time only when speaking to long distance and its raining or snowing and only once and a whiole most of the time its fine if you had issues right away your supposed to keep the reciet bring it back to the store next day and fricken return it or contact the company yes their are sdome idiots that work as reps they are everywhere lots of companies have idiots working for them get a supervisor on the phone tell them your issue and if your still having issues return it to the store get your money back not difficult i have had charter reps tell me when calling to sekll me service how thats a killer deal and they wanted one it worked great you only need to plug it in by usb no huge cords or cables no modems etc and i only had to pay the 19.00 for the year and renew when my contract is up i keepmy number and i paid 10.00 for it to start with. at times it will need to be refreasherd by unplugging it for a few minutes and restarting the program and replugging it back into the usb in the back of your computer tower rather than the front if you have a computer tower lke that if you dont know alot of things about computers etc then youll probably have issues setting it up and will need help just because you had issues doesnt mean everyone did and you should bash the company how can u be sure you didnt make a mistake or two setting it up or something didnt happen to its internally parts on... I have had both the magic jack and now the magic jack plus. I used both with no issues. I like the plus as it allows me to leave it on all the time without a computer running. Sounds like you got a bad one is all.

Me "cogieron" a mi tambien, NO HAY NINGUN TECNICO NI NINGUN INGENIERO en el tal MJ. de Servicio al cliente.Ellos lo que todos tienen es un PATRON para las mismas PREGUNTAS-QUEJAS y de alli nos dan las respuestas Les dire que hay que tener mucho cuidado con las informaciones "TECNICAS" porque estube al punto de que me "JODAN" el programa de Windows7.al querer entrar y hacer cambios en WINDOWS BACKUP, y borrar la instalacion y tenia que reinstalar el Programa.

unfortunately I had a similar conversation with the customer service people online at Magic Jack. They gave up after two or three such chats and decided the problem was one for their engineers. I never heard from any engineers nor anyone else again. Today I called for a refund and they tell me the trial period is over and I cannot get a refund! I said I never got to try it and that's what a trial period means since they never got it going! Now, I've contacted my bank. I believe something is going on here regarding money and refunds and deception.

I have used Magic Jack for four years in Kuwait and was happy, which lead me to renew my subscription for five more years. My problem is I purchase the Magic Jack Plus and has not received it. I purchase this item in Jan online for $ 115.00 and can not contact their customer service or check the status of the order with the URL ON THE email.

First I have to admit that Magic jack was great to have for the four years I used it in Kuwait. Which is the reason I renewed my subscription again. My problems started when I purchased the new Magic Jack Plus in Jan 2012. I have not received the item and can not contact their customer servce. The online chat referred me back to their customer servce and that is their ad page.

hi, i have magic jack (mj) & i REALLY like it. however, big problem now:
1.every time someone calls & gets my voicemail, they get a forced mj long ad they have to listen to. free ads & i had to pay for the service!!!
2. if you call me from a blocked number, mj will not let the call go through unless you unblock (*** me off!)

What I'm hearing is a sh-- load of complaints from people who wanted something for nothing, always remember, you get what you pay for, if you pay for nothing, then you get nothing...A word to the wise, next time be willing to spend a little more on the front side so you won't have problems on the backside!!!

All these people that are complaining about Magic Jack must be idiots. First they fell for an obvious scam...$19.00/year for phone service...and second they must all be grade school dropouts as not one of them knows how to spell.

Fully Agree. These people charged me $ 70 for no reason. I had to go their *** chatting customer service for several hours and I had finally to dispute the charges on Visa. Visa dispute officer said that they hear the same thing about them all the time. Some one has to shut majic Jack scam :( :cry :(

I agree with everything the writer Tcossey wrote!!! It is *** trying to deal with these people. You are online forever just trying to get tech support till you finally give up, which is what they want! I am writing to the Attorney General!

we have had nothing but GOOD LUCK THE THE MJ. while my husband was deployed it was great to have. i was able to leave him messages concerning our duaghter who was recovery from brain surgery. the downside was always having to have your computer on. but this thing worked great while he was in Iraq. and it saved us money. didn't have to but phone cards or sit by my computer waiting for him to reach me. he was able to call me whenever. hope this helps....

OMG, I tried to renew my magic jack for another year i wish i had found this site first i would have never done this. I did what it told to renew and my card was denied but the charges still went through but no conformation on the renewal. What a joke im sorry its an American company how sad is this. Now i have to deal with the bank to remove the charges. That will take a month. Don't do it unless you have time on your hands. No customer service just chat on line with representive What a joke.

If you want to know about the quality of company's customer service, try calling them. If you have success, miracle...
I subscribed to the system and now only headache.
My mistake was understood that the 5-year plan is an upgrade.. .
They charged me 5 years plus the equipment they promised to have one year of service included.
That is, I paid 104.54 + 85.78 (for 5 additional years). I'm trying to cancel the additional 5 years, but I doubt I can do friendly.
Good luck to the persons who believe in this system...It is better believe in Santa Claus.
I will try the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) to solve the problem.

I made a complaint with the BBS and I don't be-lave it I got this email today from the BBS
and M J said
"On December 25, 2011, the business provided the following information:
Mr. Cossey should have returned his magicJack during his 30 day free trial period. Although he is well beyond his free trial, we have refunded him for his purchase and ask him to return his magicJack to magicJack, P.O. Box 6846, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.

Please allow several days for the credit to appear on his account "
this is the only thing I go for Crismas :)

Majic jack worked great for first year,6 mo
into 2nd year had problems, had to reboot everyday, locked up computer. Asked for help
got up dated software didn't help. What company sells phones but doesn't have a help phone number?

i made the mistake of ordering the plus. have the old one, have been happy with it. I got 2 ordered, because they wouldn't let me change the address on the web page, they also billed me for a 5 tr contract. I'm not sure this mess will ever be right. The plus i was to get for half price is winding up costing me almost 200 dollars. I have decided to turn this over to the fraud division of the state I live in and hope for the best. Nothing but a rip off, wish I never heard of the plus.
