I just spent over an hour chatting with their so-called customer service department regarding a similar issue, I had lost my old style MagicJack, a few months after renewing for 5 years at a cost of $59.95 great deal right?My device went MIA at about the same time the new MagicJack Plus came out, so I contacted them and ordered what was supposed to be a replacement unit...
It comes with a year and cost me $69.95, I was supposed to and logically so, expected my new device would now have the year it came with, plus the remaining 4 1/2f years remaining from the old one... No such luck. after getting the run-a-round from someone that it seems was told to talk in circles and always answer in the negative as to getting credited, or transferring the now remaining time to the working device. Basically I was told that the time on the now MIA device is lost, unless I want to pay for a replacement,...
that's right I said it too, I ALREADY purchased a new replacement device, and the time was left on the old one.
Again I was told tough luck, we can not transfer time from one device to another...Really!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced (except maybe Dell support, but that's another story) 2f614eb
