I had an LKQ rebuilt transmission installed in a 2004 Freestar, at a Canadian Ford Dealer in Ottawa On. in August of 2013. I was assured at the time there was a North America wide warranty with unlimited mileage. Some 12,000 km, (about 6500 miles) later while wintering in Fl. I have, what I am told by a Ford dealer, is a problem with the torque converter. I was told not to drive the vehicle any...
Purchased a rebuilt motor, it did not run. Returned it for replacement. Oh after paying for it to be installed. Received another one and this one had a head that was cracked, they tell me the warranty is only good on the first motor and that the replacement one is not covered. Had to purchase another head and pay for that to be installed. Not happy with them at all would like for other to be...
To whom it may concern, It's my understanding that LKQ has acquired Wheel Fix It in Long Island. I have been a customer of Wheel Fix It for about 3 months or so. You have a driver that services the North Jersey area for pick up and drop off service. I received a phone call from the office telling me after I've spent several thousands of dollars with your company that they will no longer be...
WE AT PATEL MOTORS HAVE BEEN A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER OF LKQ AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING. ON 8/6/13 PUT A TRANSMISSION IN A 2006 FORD F150 4X4 LASTED 1500 MILES. THEY BEGRUDGINGLY REPLACE THIS ONE. NOW WE HAVE PAID A MECHANIC TWICE NOW IN 600. MILES IT HAS WENT OUT AGAIN. THEY TOLD THE WARRANTY WAS FOR 90 DAYS AND IT WAS OVER BY IT WAS 21 DAYS PAST THE WARRANTY. TOLD US...
I needed a transmission for a celica. I called lqk an spoke with the sales person who told me the part was 289 and bring on the old and the peices and I would get a 75 core charge back. So I order the part which I was told I would be ready for pick up in five days. Ok great, day five came so I called to make sure it was in. Of course the part was not in, but should be here Monday. So now my cars...
I own an auto body shop. I have to use recycled parts for the insurance companies. I am tired of financing the *** parts that LKQ and Keystone ship us. They want me to pay for both *** parts that they send. I am sorry, but I have a high quality shop and I will no longer fund this mess. They are a giant corporation and expect us to pay, pay, pay and wait over 30 days for reimbursement. I warn all...
Hi yall my name is Buckshot and I ordered me a part from LKQ and it was wrong. I gave the wrong description but hey I am not the ones selling the parts. I ordered me another cause the first one was wrong and guess what wrong again. LKQ is the worst company to get your core money back. They try every angle not to reimburse. I own Universal Auto in Springfield Township. If they are charging a core make sure you have it ready and even if you have it ready be sure to check your invoice , cuz they will still try and charge you for one. Oh and the warranty's are a joke. Make sure you cross your Ts and dot the I'z cuz you will not...
I bought a part from these people with a 4 day estimated delivery date (on or before July 26) from Houston TX. I live in Lubbock, TX. Well past the estimated delivery, no part. I left an email. i waited 24 hours and if course no response. So I called and was told "next day air" and they would cover it. They gave me the tracking number I tracked it and it is arriving ups ground 3 days later on a...
Ordered Ford Rim advertised for $125 plus $30 for shipping (actual cost $18) only to find out that there was a $75 core charge for the wheel, SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS! What a RIP OFF! The core is worth maybe $3 max for scrap. The first rim was listed in "A" condition and was curbed and scratched. 2nd rim was ok except center cap was missing and TPMS was cut off. I WILL SCRAP A CAR BEFORE I EVER ORDER...
