I didnot have a good experience with life time fitness. As I had to pay extra money for the months when I was not going to the gym. After some days, a representative from their customer service called us, and resolved the issue. We were given half of the money back and the remaining half as credit. Overall its a good gym with good services, but just beware of their payment and cancellation policies. They are quite strict about them.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any organization in US.First, they try to convince you to join the gym.

There customer service sucks. The representative I dealt with didnt even tell that a 30 day notice was required for cancellation. I joined the month for one month. The representative told me and my husband that if we liked the gym, we could continiue, otherwise its totally our choice.

We left after one month, but they still charged us from credit card without notifying!.
I came to know on Oct 3rd that our credit card has been billed for the month of october/. I went to the gym to have it cancelled and at least get a refund for october, as it was just 2 days late". But they completely refused to do so:.

We, as a couple paid $200 dollars to join for one month?. And ended up paying $260 extra for couple membership for the months we never utilized the gym,. So we ruined $460 and got one month's service?.
They have really really bad customer service/.

and are after your money. The 30 day policy before cancellation really makes no sense for a gym 386c659

I placed my membership on Military hold before I deployed to Iraq. While I was gone, Lifetime Fitness re-instated my membership after 11 months. I put a hold on my membership with an open-ended return date, yet they took it upon themselves to charge the card automatically. When my wife called (while I was deployed) to have the charge reversed, they took no ownership of the situation and blamed it on a computer error.
Here is my problem... It took 74 days for them to refund the $60.15 cost of my membership. That is unacceptable. They did not take responsbility to manage my account, even though my deployment orders were open-ended (not to exceed XXX days). I will continue to train there because I like the facility, but I will be paying cash in advance of each monthy billing cycle. I recommend you do the same.
