I wanted to update my review since it's now almost a year later. Blinds continue to break at an alarming rate - all but two have been sent back for repairs, some more than once.

Levolor has a new 10 year warrantee and has repaired the blinds without any issue. The problems that we have with this are 1) we have to pay for shipping each time (about $15 per blind), 2) the window is blindless for about two weeks each time one breaks, 3) the blinds are getting worn looking from all the shipping back and forth (Levolor refuses to actually replace with a new or improved product).

It's an expensive inconvenience and I would never recommend this brand to anyone.

We bought 12 Levolor cellular/light blocking, cordless blinds from Lowes 18 months ago. The blinds just stop working -- the string seems to go off track and they won't go up or down.

We've taken them back to Lowes and the blinds have all been replaced without issue, and new blinds sent within a couple weeks. The warranty is now expired and the blinds continue to break. Lowes no longer has our information in their ordering system but has agreed to try to replace the latest broken blind. I'm afraid we are stuck with $2500 worth of blinds that will probably not last another 6 months.

Monetary Loss: $2500.

Location: Hartford, Connecticut

We have had the same problem. Within 2 years we have have had 6 out of 11 break.

We were told they would replace them if there was ever a problem and now they say it's only guaranteed for a year. We spent $2000 and now have to decide if we want to redo all of our window covering or start over with another company.

Did Lowes tell you that it was only a 2 year warranty? Or did you call Levolor?
