LA Fitness - Never join LA fitness Burlington Ontario, they are rude and do not care about customer

At the , I was so impressed on this facility. The sales guy was very nice and convinced my 2 friends signed up the memebership. He also offered me a free 7 day pass!. Nobody told me that i can not use another pass within certain period".
2 weeks after, I printed free pass on line but LA Fitness rejected to let me in:. The same sales guy was so rude and said it is impossible to let me work out free even just for today;. I am a very reasonalbe person, I do not think it is a big problem if he could explain nicely , then I can leave without any problem,. However he was very rude and impatient, acting like a totally diffrent person compare to the day when my freinds signed up membership with him,. The manager showed up as well, they just simply turned me down without a reasonable |.


I was very seriously considered to join this gym before, howeve it is obviously that LA Fitness Burlington does not care about the potential customer". Why bother? I will retain the membership with Goodlife at least the staff there are much nicer. 31474d9

Staff are unfriendly. Paper towels dispensers are always broken. Place is crowded. Staff never seem to be walking around offering help. They congregate at their desks chatting. No rules are enforced. People are on their phones in locker rooms despite signs saying "no phones". The sauna says "you must bathe before entering sauna for hygenic purposes" but so many dirty women work out and then sit in the sauna FULLY DRESSED, stinking up a storm. It's disgusting. Nothing is policed for safety.
They need more staff who care about customer service and enforce the rules.

The individuals at the front desk of both the Burlington and Oakville location are PAINFULLY rude! Does it take that much effort to smile and say hi how are you? How did these individuals get hired let alone keep their job? I have been working out there since openning and it is very rare to get a friendly hello. This obviously doesn't stop me from enjoying the gym itself but it's something the management should be aware of and change!!! The gym itself is awesome - Debbie Kelly and Michelle do the best classes... HOWEVER the room where the classes are held gets SO hot & has no ventilation that it's a hazard and women are often falling all over the place by the time the night classes are held. The change rooms are too small and always packed - they should have done a similar layout to the Oakville location - the Burlington one is too crammed. The Oakville location has a great Women's Only section, Burlington is a tiny tiny tiny room.
Overall I can't complain because I pay half the price I did at Goodlife and it has great classes but I think they need to consider new management and kick the *** stubborn front desk girls that appear to hate life to the curb.

Way under staffed, rude and " I could Care Less" attitude at the front desk. Floors a mess at the front door and in the mens changeroom. In the men's washroom next to the urnals there is two sinks, one of the taps have not worked in MONTHS!!!and next to these sinks they removed a paper towel dispensor MONTHS AGO!!!! and never replaced it!!! I have seen the same garbage sitting outside the hot tub in the same spot for 3 consecutive days!!! They have a great facility they just need new management. If a new gym opens up in the same area their done!!!

I agree with you, they need a new management, the manager is very rude, she is always yelling at the front desk staff, I cannot stand her angry face, she doesn't even brush her hair, and she is supposed to be the image of the gym, she should be more careful with her image and show positive attitude. And by the way, the shower are always dirty, is really disgusting.

Very dirty shower area. Bandaids on the shower wall for a week. THey never wash the showers or change room floors.

I got tired of the line-ups at LA Fitness and the staff. I went to Snap Fitness around the corner. Way better/cleaner and no lines.

I think every person posting here and complaining about the staff at the gym have lost sight of what the gym is for, sure the young girls at the front don't work, and the staff are rude, but you are going there for yourself not for the people who work there. If the person who works at the gym gets on your nerves that much that it ruins your day and ruins your work out, it's not the gyms fault for hiring them it's yours for letting it bother you.

I think some of these complaints are sound, but they shouldn't ruin the reason you go. I have more issues with the punk kids who go into the pool while people are trying to swim lengths and they goof off and get in our way, but it doesn't ruin my day. The pool is also never cleaned but again it's not something to *** me off I've swam in worse.

All in all don't lose sight of why your are there

Fire these people and hire people that want to work!!
Also changerooms are Disgusting!

LA Fitness burlington is a beautiful facility, however the front desk staff is RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and unwilling to do anything that involves work. The front desk team needs to be changed because MOST of the current ladies that are working at the front desk do not make me feel welcome, but instead make me feel even more stressed from my day to day work.

Honestly the staff there are so rude. Often I say hi to the front desk staff and they don't even bother to say anything back. I have worked at gyms before as a customer service rep and it is their JOB to make members feel welcome at the gym. When a *** who works there looks me straight in the eye (or can't be bothered to put down her phone/book/food/magazine/whatever long enough to look at me at all) and doesn't even say hello, she should be fired. The customer service manager is equally a *** and doesn't ever seem to be doing anything other than talking to the men who work there.

I joined LA fitness about 4-5 months ago and I don't find there to be anything wrong with it at all! I go at various times throughout the day, be it morning, mid afternoon, just after work, or evening; I find it clean and a great place to workout in! I have no problems with the staff at all, someone is always available to help you. Even when I signed up, they asked me about personal training, all I had to do was say 'No thank you' once, and the topic was never brought up again - go to Premier and they haggle you for upwards of 30-45 MINUTES about using their services. That was the biggest thing that won me over to this gym, not to mention the month-by-month memberships as well. I do find it to be very busy (and smelly!) around 5:30 after work, but I try to go around that time of day to avoid that. I am not employed by LA Fitness, nor do I have any real significance or relationship with them other than my membership. I just found this to be the best after trying various other gyms in the area.

Honestly,I just joined two months ago and everyone is so rude to me. Especially the lady in the front who has glasses, I'm sorry for bringing her up like this but she constantly looks at me everywhere I go and treats me with disrespect. Another thing is that I went to cancel my account, and they ended up charging me for another month! I was so mad and asked to talk to the manager and alls they said was that they have no record of me cancelling my account. Once my last month is over, I'm DONE with them!

For future reference, just go to another gym. LA Fitness Burlington is a nice gym, but with the WRONG staff and the WRONG attitude.

I just called LA Fitness to ask if they were hiring. Young girl answers the phone and I don't want to even mention her name. But, when I asked her if they were hiring she replied with I don't know but drop off your resume. I replied with saying thank you and hung up ...... I was doubting the fact that they had employees that had no senses of customer service. But, this is a shocker. No customers service whats so ever .. this just happened May 23 2013 at 4:00pm girls name starts with a "C" ... I hope the manager reads this...

Since I've joined LA Fitness it's been crazy busy in there that I find it hard to workout. And weights are not put back by anyone. I actually put it away myself when I see the weights out of place.
But in regards to front desk help yes greeting looks like it's forced. No, eye contact. Needs to be improvement..

This place is disgusting. The change rooms are always philty. Floors never get mopped. They never have any paper towels to wash down equipment after use. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must agree that most of the admin staff are RUDE and UGLY! As soon as you walk-in they sometime force a "hello" but rarely even look you in the eye. Then when you walk-out they say nothing. The female manager behind the front desk has a negative air about her as well ans seems unapproachable.

When i go to the gym (or any business for that matter) I expect to be greeted with a BIG SMILE and a "HELLO" (like Wal-mart ya know)and not a sour miserable look on the greeters face, like I am interrupting them. Who do they think they are anyway???

LA Fitness- Do yourselves a favor- Get some new staff!!! Because the newness of the facility will wear off soon and then bye bye BUTT-HEADS!!

Honestly I'm reading some of these complaints and they are soooooo far from the truth. The gym is spotless! The only issue is it's very busy @ times
I was a member @ premier before I joined LA n you can't compare the two because LA is beyond wayyyyyyy better!
Sometimes I go there @ 5.30 am other times midday/evening n it's always spotless.
I don't know what people expect for $29/month

My girlfriend and I got a joined membership together, the first day everyone was lovely. We wanted to switch the payment from
My bank account to hers so we went in together to establish this change. Before I could even finish explaining, the staff member working raised his voice at me and said "it's a 75 FEE for changing the membership over!!!!" I told him no I wanted to change the account the money if being taken out of and again he raised his voice at me. Disrespectful. I go to a different location there because the staff is not welcoming .. They are rude and as soon as you walk in they look at you up and down with a look of disgust. Never again

i am a member and i love it!!it has everything you could ever want in a gym and then some..i find the staff very friendly..best gym i have ever been a member of.. burlington la fitness is the bomb!!!
