I had been going to a local in Portland, Oregon, for years, and was paying via an annual fee.They recently sold that site to , who closed it and expected me to use a new gym they opened elsewhere in the city.
Neither the location nor the services of LA Fitness' new gym fit my needs.
(The vibe there is also very "plastic" but that's another story.) Neither company will give me a refund for the remaining half of my year's dues, despite very reasonable and repeated calls to various levels of both companies.This is clearly a case of services paid for - and services not rendered.... 313d15d

I had been going to a local Bally Fitness club in Vernon Hills, Illinois, for years,
and was paying via an annual fee. They recently sold that site to LA Fitness,
who closed it and expected me to use another gym, 10 miles away from the current location.
I am a retired pereson and heart patient and I can't drive 20 miles just for the gym.
LA Fitness refuses to give me a refund for the unused (10 months) fees,
despite very reasonable and repeated calls to various levels of that company.
It doesn't look professional for such a big company like LA Fitness.
