Kohls gives $10 in Kohls Cash for each $50 spent.My bill had a subtotal of $68.95, so I earned $10 in Kohls cash.

I came back during the specified time and used my Kohls cash, and they discounted the purchase by $10. I later returned a $19.99 item from the original purchase. Because that reduced the subtotal amount of the original bill to 48.96, which no longer qualifies for the Kohls cash, this return amount and credit to my charge card is only $9.99. That is disappointing, but fair.

HOWEVER, when I later needed to return something I bought with the $10 Kohls cash, they subtract the Kohls cash $10 A SECOND TIME! This is not right! Their system is miscalculating and they need to fix this. If they later determine that the Kohls Cash is no longer earned, then they should subtract the amount in EITHER return, but not BOTH.

They took $20 total off my return value when I only had $10 in Kohls cash.This has happened on purchases in which I earned up to $50 in Kohls cash as well. 3028495

I have worked there. When your subtotal is within $2 of a $50 mark, for example if your subtotal is $48, $98, $148, etc. the computer automatically rounds it up and you earn $10 in Kohl's Cash anyway.

If the return on your original purchase brought the original total down to $48.96, you would still have earned the Kohl's Cash.

I think you were either trying to scam, or you used a different $10 Kohl's Cash or other $10 coupon on your original purchase and you don't remember/didn't look at the receipt.

Your problem can be solved by buying what you are planning on keeping. You buy and return hoping to make a profit with Kohls cash and it is not happening. I can count on one hand the stuff I have returned over the last 10 years. That is because I buy something I want and plan on using for years to come.

And sigh once again, Kohl's cash isn't real money! You not losing any money because you didn't spend that money. UGH! :(

Taking it when you earn it and taking it again when you spend it is double taking of the same 10.00 dollar coupon it is a SCAM. FOCUS YOUR ENERGY ON BECOMING SOMETHING OTHER THEN A KOHLS ZOMBIE

When you redeem KC and then return the item you redeemed the KC on, you get an in store credit. Unless the KC was expired when it was redeemed, then it is not returned.
