I was searching for a reverse directory to look up a single land line phone# when I found a .99 cent offer on the web site.I entered the number and was assured by the site that they had the name.
Consequently, I entered the requested personal data then looked up the number. I was very careful in not checking more boxes offering and making sure that none were checked automatically. After searching (no information was found for the phone number) I checked the account information and was outraged to find my had been billed nearly $25.00 dollars for the failed search. There is no way I will ever go near this company again!.
In my opinion this is not business it is piracy". I saved all the data I could in a folder and I am sending it to the B?.B bureau with a complaint, as well as taking it to my lawyer!. After reading multiple revues of on the internet I believe these people should be sent to prison for the rest of their lives?. If this isn't organized racketeering what the *** is it, and where the *** is the F:.
B".
I..?This entire site is designed to steal money from massive numbers of people. 3112295

Their background screening business was getting so hammered by all of the bad publicity (see some below) that they spun off a Talentwise in an attempt to put a new face on very shady company. I don't trust anything that is remotely connected to these thieves. Lots to read if you google "Naveen Jain" and you will find pages of articles about this Intelius and Talentwise.
"Intelius is being deservedly buried in lawsuits and consumer complaints. A long Seattle Weekly expose on Jain and Intelius describes the various legal issues facing the company: 121 complaints to the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, 822 complaints to the Better Business Bureau, a lawsuit in King County Superior Court accusing Jain of inflating financial figures and a Federal Trade Commission investigation for possible violation of laws regulating how credit information is disseminated. More at TechFlash."
"In my recent test searches I found that Intelius was charging even when there was no data (which you don’t see until you pay). And when the data is available, in all cases I was able to find it elsewhere for free."
"We’ve been tracking Intelius’ atrocious abuse of customers since... Show more
