Home Depot - Accused then the victim of theft

I am a small business owner (electrical) and have a reputable record and work all around the 4 corners and southwest area mainly Southwestern Colorado and New Mexico.I have many employees that work for me in many towns and cities.The incident happened in Albuquerque NM at the Eubank store I sent a trusted employee into the store to do a return without reciept and the customer service clerk decided that my employee looked according to him the thief type and decided to target him and accuse him of stealing mercahndise which was clear that my employee never even went beyond the return desk!They proceeded to call police and unfotunately my guy had a misdemeanor warrant and was arrested for the failure to pay fines warrant.Well mow the company has $150+ dollaers of mercahndise that they refuse to return unless I have a reciept!!Home Depot has the merchandise that I purchased with my company money and refuse to return it!!Now tell me whos the theif!!Corporate was of no help and even the BBB couldnt get the store to return my property!!I only can say that HOME DEPOT ARE THEIVES and keep merchandise that is not theres!!I will never shop there again and tell all my associates to spread the word!!!Oh and I cant find a reciept for the property but the company obviously feels that falsely accusing customers of theft then theiving themselves is the wy they do business!!! 383c969

Listen to this story as he would have presented it to the store. I want to return this item! It's my bosses! I don't have a receipt! I want cash for it! Cashier happens to know it's a high theft item. Every thing is adding up! Now one more thing check the counts! Imagine that it says we have 12, there are only 11 here. Detain him and call the police. Police arrive; imagine that he has a warrant out for his arrest another RED FLAG! Home Depot has every right to that item from their point of view. Do the world a favor and be a better business owner and HANG ON TO YOUR RECEIPTS.

Oh this is a good one! I'll tell you exactly what happened that you do not understand. People like to steal items then try and return them for cash. If a person comes in and their story does not add up and if it's a high theft item/expensive item and the person is demanding cash. They will then do a quick inventory count of the so said item and if it come's up 1 off the count the inventory is suppose to be THE PERSON WILL BE ACCUSED OF THEFT. High theft items are inventoried daily to help protect all major retail stores. Clearly all the events I just listed occurred and it was more than enough to call the police over. To top it off he had a warrant for his arrest; imagine that. No upstanding citizen would ever have a warrant for their arrest. And you don't have a receipt. It's the consumers responsibility to keep the receipt; being such a expert business professional you think your filing skills would be top notch.
