Hobby Lobby employee shoved xmas ornament at me!

I was at the check out at Hobby Lobby in Aiken SC and the cashier appeared angry and was shoving my 5 boxes of xmas ornaments in a large bag with a tree topper.Since the bag was right in front of me I started re-positioning the boxes in the bag and I said" these ornaments are all glass." She said"oh yeah" Than sorry as she slammed a ornament down hard in my hand!

I was shocked at her behavior and told her what I thought of her and she repeated it by saying oh I am a .... I am sure that I am not the only customer that she treated badly that day.

If you have a problem with your manager take it out on them not me.Unfortunately I have to return the tree topper so I have to go back one more time to their store! 388c73b

Boy, Joan, you are way off the mark! You must be an employee there. I love Hobby Lobby and patronize them whenever possible, but that cashier was WAY out of line and this customer had EVERY right to be upset. I don't condone cussing anyone out, but she did NOTHING wrong by letting this employee know that she didn't appreciate her attitude or the way she was treating the merchandise that was being purchased.
No, ma'am, that is NOT flying off the handle. After you've been in the working world for awhile, you'll have a better understanding of what I am saying.
That kind of behavior from an employee is UNACCEPTABLE and she darn well SHOULD HAVE been called on it - not cussed out or with any profane language, but again, this customer did NOTHING wrong when she pointed out the girl's very obvious attitude problem.
Whatever was going on, that behavior in NEVER acceptable and anyone who does behave in such a manner shouldn't be dealing with the public.
Employees such as this just give a great store a bad name. Think about it!
If she wasn't reported to the manager and/or the corporate office, she should have been. Period.

I work at Hobby Lobby. While some items can be obnoxious while trying to get them in our bags because they are not big enough or tough enough or they dont hold to the holder well and fall off ect..... she shouldnt be shoving anything into the bag in an angry fashion as you claim because that is just not acceptable. I would report her to the manager and give them the date and time that you were in the store so they can see it on their security cameras. There are plenty of good people out there who need jobs that wouldn't act out in front of customers. Hope you have a better experience next time :)

Did you get injured in the incident and did the item get broken? Basically you flew off the handle when you told the cashier what you thought of her. You should have remained cool, calm, and collected. What makes you think she was having a problem with a manager or co-worker? Maybe she had other customers with a bad attitude, before you arrived on the scene.

So we are not allowed to say anything when someone is doing this to us? You are probably the employee or work there. I would have not paid and walked out.
