Hobby Lobby - Customer

I wish Hobby Lobby would put self-service check outs at their stores. .............

It is generally like a ghost town in hobby lobby anyway.... There is not employee-help when you need it. .....Extra cashiers are really not necessary. ...Hobby Lobby can save money by elimiating unneeded "help." ....Just one/two employees is usually all that is needed to work out glitches with the self-check out line. ...Unlike unneeded 5-6 cashiers without a self-checkout.....Some want to deal with a self-checkout line rather than some cashier.....

....The extra cashiers are not needed and not cost-effective for Hobby Lobby. .....Self-check outs are the way to go.

Also, can Hobby Lobby start using barcodes? This will be more helpful with refunds and exchanges. 3806992

You would not for one second be able to check yourself out at Hobby Lobby if you even tried. It requires high levels of memorization and operative skills that only training could offer, and even then is still not perfect. I agree that the store would save money in the long-run if they invested in a barcode system for P.O.S. However, their current method does work, but requires a lot more effort on part of the cashier, especially for customers making large purchases. This is no Wal-Mart, and although we as a society are accustomed to getting things done quickly because of modern technology, that does not make it right to assume that it is an employee's/company's fault because something is done a little old-fashioned. If you truly don't like their P.O.S. system and it's enough to keep you from shopping there, by all means, DON'T.

I found a coupon for 50% OFF ENTIRE PURCHASE!!
WooHoo, I thought I made a $72.43 purchase and when I presented my Coupon to the cashier she denied me! Basically made me look like I had made the coupon myself!! Ummm my I can barely cut and paste! I paid full price and emailed their Corporate Office about what happened also including the link to the site with the coupon! But because there was no code just a scanner bar she wouldn't honor it! This store has the worst customer service I have ever exp. The cashiers are always rude and seem pissed or bored! Everyone else has bad attitudes! I will NO LONGER shop with them! I will stick to JoAnns, Michaels and shopping online! GOOD RIDDANCE HOBBY LOBBY! You are OVERRATED :( :( Has Anyone else found this coupon or been hasseled over using coupons there? This isn't the first time they hasseled me over a coupon but it will be the last!

Hobby lobby never provides 50% off coupons. 40% is as low as they go. Plus all hobby lobby coupons have a four digit code. It was a fake coupon. I'm not saying hou made it, but the website that was promoting it, which must not have been hobbylobby.com, was trying to pull a fast one. It is not the company's fault and good for them for not taking it, however, it sounds like no one explained this to you and that is not okay. Anyway, I hope that explains it for you. Sorry you had such a bad experience. :sigh
