I bought a used 2009 Nissan Maxima from the dealership in early December 2010. First of all, the total time spent that day at the dealership was over 7 hours. The test drive and haggling over price/trade-in/apr only took maybe 2 hours. I signed all the paperwork accepting the extended warranty and paint protection...rookie mistake. Well they needed to fill the tank with gas, so to save on time, I drove the maxima to the gas station following the sales lady in my trade-in. (FOR ETHICAL REASONS I WILL NOT USE NAMES) As she was filling up the car, I did one last walk around the car to make sure everything look ok. Well it wasn't. I noticed that the driver's side front corner of the bumper was not seated properly. In other words, the whole corner was sticking out from the rest of the body, completely unsecured. I pointed it out to her and we proceeded back to the dealership?.
The manager came out and looked at it/. He actually asked me if I had hit something! Ok, I can understand, it could happen, but it didn't|. They took it back into the maintenance bay, and 30 minutes later I was on my way home|. Well about a week and a half later, it came loose AGAIN,. Called the dealership and told them about the problem and that I would be there the next day;. Now the dealership is on the north side of Atlanta, and I live on the south|. 57 miles to be exact.. So I take the car up there. They fix the bumper and I am on my way again. I get home, and guess what...bumper is hanging out again. So this time I email the manager and sales person. At this point I am very angry. $22,000 car, and they can't secure a bumper. They offer to send it to the body shop, give me a rental, and reimburse me for the gas I had used.
When I got my car back, yes the bumper was finally fixed. Did they reimburse me for gas or even fill the tank...NO. Completely *** poor service and customer care. I went in today to cancel the extended warranty and paint care. Was told a particular person would be with me in a "couple minutes". What does a "couple minutes" mean to you? Technically it means 1-2 right? I can accept 5-10. After 30 minutes I found the person that originally helped me as I walked in, I asked who I was waiting to see and if he would ask how long I can expect to wait. 30 minutes later, still hadn't been given an answer or even seen the guy again. For all I know, he disappeared all together, never to be seen again.
So after my ranting, NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP! Just read the other post. Clearly there is something wrong with this place. So, I have made it my personal duty to inform all consumers in the Atlanta area. Whatever avenue I have to use, I will. 2f9269f
