So I worked as of yesterday at the on Warm Springs.I have worked for this company now since 1997, I have been asst manager and store manager and stylist.

Here in Vegas I have been treated unfairly by several of the Franchisers and for awhile my reputation was null because of the lies of one of them here in Vegas!. I was hired about a year in a half ago by another owner and was told I would receive a higher wage after 90 days and I never got it". This past October I cut a clients hairpiece which I didnt know this store didnt do, I was written up and suspended for doing it;. The client wrote to the corporation and said nothing but good thngs about me but she had bad things to say about the managers, in return I was suspended for 4 days without pay because of what she wrote?.

The other day I was very angry about the way I was being treated and I wrote a rant on my page, I went to work yesterday and was told that I voluntary terminated my employment via face book!. I think this comapny is crazy, you dont need to like someone or something inorder to do your job, I talked to the owner awhile ago to express my concerns and was told that I was a terrible employee with a bad past and that even though I think I'm giving good service I'm really not, I told him that what he just said was wrong and that my clients would say diffrent, however he went on to say that he did what he did and I could do what I do because what I say doesnt matter:. This is how this company treats it employees, low pay and high standards expected/.

Its a sad place to work with so many rules that you would expect to be paid corporate pay for all they want from you..I ask all other employees from in the past to post your rants against this comapny, theres no reason for people to be treated so unfairly in a proffesional career area. 315939d

All the above is true. I worked for the last 8 years as a manager. I got tired of the GM telling me that I needed to get rid of the good experienced stylist and put in the new kids just out of school. Why? payroll, They can be hired at .4 cents over minimum wage. (they put it 4 cent over to say they pay MORE then minimum..LOL) And can be intimidated easily. I had to figure out how to fire the employees with years at this location and many more at others. I did as they asked, and them realized, I would be let go sometime in the future. They brought in a girl from another store in our chain (as my ***-manager). She was obviously the one the GM wanted to take over. She was extremely pushy on all the employees and was a total suck up to the GM. It was actually noticed by the customers when the GM would come in. I have NEVER been written up for anything in all the years, I broke record sales regularly. I developed a huge retail sales records. On and on. However, She worked for $5 less an hour, and sucked up so much it was sickening. So, I gave them notice about two months ago and I will say, it was the best thing I ever did. I don't recommend an experienced stylist to work in any of these places. If you are fresh out of school, ok to work there for a short time, and GET OUT. Otherwise you will never break out.

no kidding. there is no way you can ever get a raise because of all the numbers you have to meet. and when you are experienced and actually make productivity all of a sudden theres a problem with what your doing. we went through so many employees it isnt even funny and when customers come in and ask so how long are you gonna last here? that should be a clue. they punish great employees yet hire crackheads who can do whatever and are still kept on. and they wonder why they cant keep business. its really sad that ppl that go into the hair business because they love it are reduced to worrying about their numbers constantly!!!!! thank god i was in the position to quit which unfortunately alot of the other great stylists where i worked arent able too. corporate is ruining the hair business period.

This just goes to show that Facebook isn't as confidential as everybody thinks it is. I have known for several years that prospective employers, as well as current employers, and law enforcement have ways to get on a person's facebook page to check out prospective employees, as well as current employees. Let this be a wake up call and learn from the experience.
