Gillece - PVC water line split

First off Gillece was supposed to be here between 12 and 4.They called and said they would be late.

The problem I have is a split PVC pipe for my hot water line. All that needs to be done is cut out the split piece and add another piece with a couple couplings. Their technician/scam artist wanted to charge me $973 for a 15 minute job. I worked construction many years and know that should have been about $75.00 at the most!

I could replace an electrical service for that amount of money.What a rip off. 308ac75

ive got new hot water tank installed by legit contractor for less...
no laws against that outrageous price..you SIGN contract for it.. but holy overpriced repairs....

Yes that is one reason I called, but the other reason was that I could not get a legitimate plumber out here. How ever, once he told me the cost, I told him to go get bent! I never paid the $39.00 service fee either. Went without water for 5 days before I finally was able to get a legitimate plumber out here. His cost was $250, but he not only fixed the line that burst, he also changed out the grey tubing with the white PVC. One other thing, I just had my kitchen floor done for $425, that included cost and materials. It was *** going for 5 days with no water, but it was worth it. :)
