So when you type in google if Gazelle is a scam the first thing you get in search is http://www.gazelle.com/is-gazelle-a-scam and it says it's BBB Accredited? Haha So any one can have a business and go to the BBB site and try to say there Accredited well, there only Accredited in boston where this place is founded, and also the review is by CustumerCare@Gazelle.com. Now if you go to the real bbb.org site you see this same review, now look below it? if you scroll down it clearly states that Gazelle is under review in every other state and is NOT Accredited by the BBB.

(don't use gazelle if you have already been ripped off file a complaint with the bbb, and get a lawyer, trust me others have!)

Ps your welcome and just remember research before you get scammed it doesn't take much to see threw the thin lies! 384b4d1

I sent my Motorola Droid 4 to Gazelle that was in perfect condition, didn't even have a scratch on it. They offered me $120. I was fine with that, so I sent it in. A couple of weeks later, they sent me an email stating that my phone wouldn't turn on or keep a battery charge and that they couldn't get it to work. They then said they could dispose it for me. I chose to have them send it back to me, because this didn't sound right at all. I packaged it correctly and sent them a phone in amazing condition. When I got the phone back, it won't turn on, won't hold a charge and has a small, new scratch on the screen that wasn't there before. So now I have to figure out how to get it fixed. Be careful dealing with companies you have to ship to. You are better off dealing with someone in person so you know what they are doing when they check your phone...just saying, I wouldn't deal with them again.

The iPhone I'm trying to sell to Gazelle is completely broken, and they offered me 40 bucks for it. Which is fine because it doesn't turn on.. and they know that as well, being that I checked th bow that says the phone is shot and doesn't turn on. I'm fine with recieving 40 for the phone but I'm afraid they'll turn around and try to tell me that I didn't say anything about the phone being broken.. Some one help, advice!!??

Gazelle is a scam! I sent in a HTC Droid incredible 2 with a faulty battery and shallow scuffs on the side of the phone. gazelle offered 44 dollars for my phone. I sent it in to gazelle and a week later recieved emails from them with bogus claims saying that my device wasn't worth anything and had "bright spots" on the screen, which is in perfect condition. I used the phone up until the point of battery failure and there was never once a single problem with the screen. They sent me my phone back after I argued with them for TWO WEEKS to get MY phone back and neglected to send it back with the charging cable and adaptor that I also sent with the phone. I STRONGLY urge everyone who has considered using gazelle NOT to fall prey to their scheme to steal used devices from their customers.

Looked up my smart phone out of curiosity. So they think my 1.5 yr old $400 phone is only worth $11... that's worse than pawn shops! This site Gazelle.com just reeks of scam.

You should expect to get less money, it's like a pawn shop, that's not a scam... also you reset the entire phone and remove your SIM card and then no they cannot get your information. Think a little people.

To WOW,
People come here you so research on Gazelle.com, not for a friggin grammar lesson, but since you want to be a know it all...actually, it's 'they're', lol. So before you go around correcting people and insulting them, make sure you know what you're talking about. The word 'their' implies possession. Jesus.

I don't think you guys get the whole premise of the site.... It is like a online pawn shop they buy your stuff and do all of the selling work themselves. And idiots saying "i payed 200$ for this they are offering me 280$" the reason you got the phone for 200$ is because that is price when you sign a contract, without signing a contract (iPhone for example) is easily worth 400$ used. You keep complaining about how they offer you less and everything, yeah they do but you are guaranteed that money and you don't have to deal with selling it yourself. They don't take your information and sell it, they inspect it and sell the stuff on eBay and to other vendors. And if you send your phone without formatting it to anyone you are dumb as dirt. What kind of business can buy items for what they are actually worth and make 0 profit on them when they sell them, you are all so *** ***.

They buy your phone for like $297 (iPhone 4S), and they sell it on their ebay store for about $400-500. Rip-off!!

They steal your information and sell it to third parties - if you had pictures, addresses, contacts, or other information... it's theirs. Why else would someone collect cell phones? Even if you 'deleted' them the information is still recoverable, and they know it.

"How much is your information worth?" is what they really are asking you...
