Enterprise Car Rental - false company policies

  • by   Jan 07

On Wednesday 1/2, my wife went on Enterprise website to rent a minivan for Sunday1/6/12 for a day trip. She entered all of her information including her Visa Debit card number and Enterprise accepted her information for a reservation on a minivan. On Sunday 1/6/12, she went to pick up her mini van but, the young man behind the counter refused to give her the rental because she didn't have a major credit card. Are you kidding me? You accepted the reservation with the information. Why isn't this stated on your website. The Visa debit card was valid and money was available!. Ive never been this upset with the poor customer service provided by the Atlantic city airport location/.

1". Will Enterprise even see this and respond?
2|. What can be done to rectify this situation because I have no problem whatsoever
making a stink about this til I'm satisfied with the outcome!. I also have
No problem whatsoever going to the location and beating the *** out of the young man who disrespected my wife with poor customer service.. She works in human resources so we know how to rip companies to shreds|.

Ball is in your court!. What will you do to see this never happens again.? 38718e9

Sir, it seems to me that this is a simple case of you and your wife being a couple of retards. Tell me, is a credit card a debit card? No it is not. Is a debit card a credit card? clearly it is not, or else it would be a credit card. Enterprise is not just selling you a $80 rental, they are letting you leave with a $25,000 car. They need to know that you have a little more to your name than $250 on a debit card.

Gillian, who are you? Are you a representative for Pissed Consumer or Enterprise Rent A Car? The reason I ask this is because i'm not interested in wasting my time explaining the situation to you or numerous people without getting some results. The biggest result that we would like to see, is that Enterprises polices are CLEARLY defined when someone like my wife goes to rent a car from you (which we probably will never do after this experience) Last time I checked, VISA was a major credit card company and that a debit card was considered a major credit card (otherwise why would they create the concept). I won't even begin to degrade the customer service rep for Enterprise because obviously he has no idea what a credit card is or how one works. It is also obvious that Enterprise does not care about the customer service that their employees provide to the consumer. This whole transaction should have flowed smoothly but, the actions of the Enterprise employee, towards my wife, proved otherwise. The only positive thing that came out of this miserable experience was the fact that we saved $80 for the one day rental.

Derr....Visa is the company that processes your bank's electronic transfer of funds. A credit card and a debit card are not the same. Your debit card is linked to a checking account. A credit card is issued only after a credit check is performed on your spending/paying history with a host of factors playing into your assigned credit limit. Anyone can open a checking account and receive a debit card within two weeks and only have $50 to their name.

It also clearly states on the Enterprise website that debit card procedures are handled differently and require a phone call to the local location for said procedures. Make it easier on yourself next time and get a credit card.
