I ordered an engine by using a credit card. I was given a reasonable date range when we would expect the engine and was told we would receive a tracking number once it shipped. The day before it was due I still had not received a tracking number so I called to check the status. I left a message and emailed requesting a call back. No one called and no ne replied to my email. My husband called...
I recently purchased an $2000 engine from these people on 3/11/2013. It states that the product should ship within 7-14 business days.Well swengines didn'tprocess papers till 3/13/2013. Not my fault! When I call to cancel my order a young man gets on the phone and starts yelling at me saying,"You people need to understand things take time." So I try to calm the guy down and he tells me to shut...
I bought a engine from them and it took almost a month to get it then when it arrived, my mechanic told me it was a bad engine, i asked for my money back and now they are giving me a hard time getting it back. This has been going on since August 2012, I've had lawyers threaten them and that didn't work, they owe me $1795.00, i want my money and their business closed!!! These people are...
I bought an engine for a Subaru from these guys with the typical claim of low mileage. What junk! Noisy right off the bat. I thought the piston slap would improve but it did not. I asked them to replace it and they refused, blaming my mechanic who installed it. Then they suggested I go through the warranty company for repairs. They were even worse! (Engine Last) They too refused to fix the motor...
DO NOT do business with this company. Engine and Transmission World AKA SouthWest engines. They are CROOKS. When they wouldnt give me an ETA on when my engine would ship after 3 weeks I started checking them out and to my horror found this website and the You Tube videos. When I brought up that I did not want to do business with them and wanted my money back they charged me 25% restocking fee,...
After reading the myriad of complaints from others, I agree with all of the complainants regarding the fraudulent Engine and Transmissions World. This company attempted to defraud me several times by giving me various quotes ranging from $451 to $690.00 for the very same transmission part within a span of only 7 straight days!!! When I confronted them about these prices, they changed their tone...

I recently placed an order with Engine & Transmission World. Shortly after placing the order I was told it would be 2-3 days to remove the engine from the vehicle and prep it for shipping. Aproximately 1 hr later, I had a funny feeling about the order I just placed. After doing a google search, I found endless list of disgruntled customer that had placed orders with Engine & Transmission World....
Contacted company about a complete motor. They sent me a quote which stated motor is started, pressure tested, motor oil pressure checked and cleaned. On the phone the salesperson told me that it was a complete motor, carfax verified at 38,000 miles. Motor arrived missing coil packs, spark plugs, water pump and intake manifold. Apparently the company checks the motors and then takes the parts off...
Bought a transmission for my 2002 Ford Escape. Transmission was sent with a BAD selenoid which had to be replaced at an addition $160 expense to me. When I called to recoup my loss, I was completely ignored. You would ask a question and there would be silence on the other end of the line. I would recommend never doing business with this company and have made it my personal mission to see...
