Monetary Loss
$50

I purchased an item from a seller in China (Kniushadu)for my child's Christmas gift on 11/22/23 and paid with PayPal, after two months of waiting, and talking to the Seller to resolve the issue, I still have not receiving the item nor getting any refund from the Seller.I then proceed to file a dispute with eBay and Paypal, both of them said that I cannot file a dispute since it past the time limit.

What the heck??? A buyer who has not receive the purchased item has to take the loss of not filing it on time? That's just a complete BS!!!! We are trying to make this company strive with our purchases and they just let those Chinese sellers get away with our money for free?????

So that policy about BUYER PROTECTION IS A COMPLETE LIE and a JOKE!!!I am done with eBay!!! 2f704ca

I'm a heavy eBay shopper, and I frequently by packages from China. Just about every third package I order is from China. anytime that you order anything from China anytime that you order anything from China, your options are epacket, FedEx, or UPS. all 3 of those options are very, very well tracked. Epackets are tracked on ibaugo.com and are updated every single time any movement is made with your packet. it's better track than USPS and almost as quickly updated as FedEx. this means wherever your package is you know the seller knows and so does eBay. secondly, overseas shipping from China can take anywhere from 1 week, to 6 weeks. you ordered something around Thanksgiving expecting it to be delivered by Christmas. That is the busiest shipping season of the entire year. third, whenever you buy from eBay, just like when you buy from any store, you are made aware of their return and claim policy. It is your responsibility to know your rights as a consumer, not theirs. just like some stores will not take things back after 90 days, eBay in forms you that you only have so much time to file a claim.
if you did not bother to track your package, you can't claim item not received, because as far as you know, the item is still in transit. it is not the seller's responsibility to track your package once it is sent.
it is not the seller's fault if the delivery date has been delayed or set back. once the seller has given a tracking number they have proven they sent your

So you're telling me that it took 2 months for you to file a claim? Try to pay your credit card bills 1 month later and see what happens to your credit score. I believe you missed your part of the responsibility here and is trying to shift the blame. I know they offer some sort of protection but blaming them for your oversight does not seem right. A better complaint would be to have you receive the item and be the wrong one or broken. eBay will make you return the item to the seller to get your money back. Yes, he is in China. It would be more expensive for you to return than to purchase the item. Thank the mail agreements that this country has. Maybe just don't buy from China next time?

ebay was great in the late 90s to early 2000s. i think it died in midd 2000s (around 2006 it started dying because of tremendous scams and how it kicked off local sellers for the bigs). i used it for two years to make income as a college student as i fixed broken playstation 2 systems as well as sold many video games.

now, there is too much of a risk if you don't know what you are doing. you are better off just buying retail for the most part.

Wanted to add the ebay protection case ID number,5021951469 and for the readers and ebay shoppers watch out for the seller magicgarcia on ebay. He is not a honest seller. Lets see if ebay awnsers this complaint or is it the same, ignorance and ignore it.

I also feel the ebay protection is a joke and a lot of crock just to get you to buy. I purchased all the dvds for the series burn notice from a seller, oot of the 20 dvd set 8 of the dvds would not play and the other were poor quility.I think they were copied ilegaly. Tried to get seller to make this right 3 times, seller never contacted me. Filed complaint with Ebay protection, they did nothing but close the case. What a crock.

When shopping for ANYTHING on eBay, don't buy from anyone under 99.0 satisfaction rating, EVER. eBay revised how those numbers are calculated and they don't truly reflect how bad a seller can be. To see only neutral and negative feedback (so you can get a snapshot of only the bad stuff), go to toolhaus.org. It's a free site that I have used for over 10 years to see if a seller can be trusted to complete a transaction (my opinion, only). Good luck. Remember that there are truly great people on eBay. I have had sellers go wayyyyy above and beyond, and when selling, I have done the same for my purchasers.
