If Macy's or amazon or Walmart or overstock sold you an item and you didn't get it, who do you think is going to refund you? Sure isn't the post office. That's why those places SELLING ITEMS has shipping insurance. If you sell an item, why WOULDN'T you worry about the person buying it from you receiving it unless you had crappy customer service or were a crook. And if so, you shouldn't be selling items because you give other sellers a bad name.

So let me get this straight. You ship something worth almost $400 dollars and *don't* get shipping insurance? It's like $1.00 for every $50.00 of insurance. Even if the buyer didn't want it, as the seller you should have been aware of the possible consequences. Next time you sell an item worth that much money, fork over a few and get the insurance yourself. Better than being out $400...

i understand where your coming from. that's a lot of money to lose. but lets be honest, most Ebay members fail to read the user agreement. it says that a seller is responsible to make sure the item arrives. it also says what will happen when you're buyer opens up an item not received claim. so by uSing the Ebay site you agreeed to all of that. you lost you're money, well look at it from the buyers point of view. they go online, pay for an item and its gets lost. with any buisness a retailer loses money to take care of its customers. you had a customer. you need to take care of them

Seller's on E-BAY do not have a business License, there fore they are not businessmen & they don't have cutomer's! ! to run a business you must be licened, collect taxes, keep records an such! people selling on E-BAY are just like seller's at a flea mkt, THE buyer can see very well what he is buying only difference is once the item is given to a government agency it is the duty of the agency to see it is deliveed, not the seller, his oblegation ended when contol of the item was placed for SHIPENT =PER E-BAY POLICY THE BUYER MUST "SHIP" THE ITEM! ITEM WAS SHIPPED WITH SIGNATURE REQUIRED! =SELLER MET HIS PART OF THE BARGAN= AFTER SELLER TURNS CONTOL OF THE ITEM OVR TO USPS IT IS THEN BETWEEN THE BUYER & USPS BECAUSE THE BUYER DID NOT STATE WHAT SYSTEM TO SHIP ITEM BY =UPS OR USPS =SELLER OBLIGATION STATES HE MUST ONLY SHIP AN SUPPLY TRACKING INFO...........................

So not true. Read the user agreement. Sellers are responsible to make sure the item arrives to the buyer. If you buy something online, is it fair that your responsible to ake sure you get it. That's not how it works. Read it again. Buyers are NOT buying items from eBay. They are buying from other people. So if their not considered customers then what are they? Goggle customer

If you lost the case then when you did not have delivery and singnatur confirmation that means that post office never marked it delivered because it never arrived or the buyer could not sign. The other reason why you could have lost is if it didn't get sent to the address the buyer provided. When a case is opened the funds are placed on hold automatically. It's only given back to the customer if the buyer never got it for those reasons. eBay is a place where people can sell what they want, but the experience that you provide can affect all sellers because if its negative the buyer won't go back to eBay at all an blames eBay and not to seller.
