DHL - LATE DELIVERY, ADDITIONAL FEES, NO ABILITY TO CONTACT LOCAL OFFICE

I mailed a package to my daughter in Edmonton, Alberta for her birthday - for delivery 2 days later.Cost for a 3 lb box was $77.

The package made it to Edmonton on the morning of the promised delivery date. It then stayed in customs processing for 6 hours, making delivery impossible. The next business day was 3 days later. The package wasn't put on a delivery truck until after 12:00 p.m.

As of 5:00 p.m., the package had not been delivered to her work address, despite assurances that it would be there by the end of business. There are no consequences for this crappy company to delay shipping. NO local numbers are given out. They added a $10 "processing fee" that was added on in Edmonton - so the delivery comes late AND YOU GET TO PAY MORE.

oops sorry my bad I am one of those white trash blue collar workers who hate on customers...I'm a lonely hag with nothing but this site to help me spread my hateful antics. Type in my userid: LadyScot in the search option and see how many times I have shared my ignorant foolish hateful comments, don't bother reading the above manifesto of my experiences in retail it took me over 2 hours to compose, proof I have nothing better to do and that no one loves me or cares about me and I am a bitter hateful old fool and take it out on as many people on this site as I possibly can it doesn't matter if your complaints are valid all that matters is that I try to beat you down and show everyone what a *** I am! Please forgive my continued ignorance I can't help myself. :sigh

Also the fee was imposed by customs, again, not the faul tof the shipper. So if you feel you were overcharged, contact customs and file a dispute. It won't get you anywhere, but you will at least feel as though you tried.

DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS, Canada Post etc has absolutely no control over how long a package sits in customs. Customs can hold a package indefinitely. It is ridiculous to blame the shipping company for the actions of the government office that actually causes the delays.
