I am originally from south bend (notre dame) Indiana.I was in Pennsylvania for thanksgiving with my mom and aunts.
I was newly engaged and we decided since we were all together to go look at dresses. We went to the Robinson store around 5pm (appointment) we were helped pretty promptly and began to look through the racks to see if anything caught my eye. I knew I like mermaid style but I'm short so I wasn't sure if it would look right. The girl was very helpful very nice and helped me into every dress.
Thought the appointment was going well. I finally put on a fit and flare lace and beaded bodice gown and instantly fell in love! My mom cried I cried my cousin and both my aunts teared up. This was theee dress!
My mom put her foot down and said she and my dad were buying me the dress! I bawled! It was an expensive gown and so was the under skirt and bra. I was told the dress would be in no later than march 6th and it was ring shipped to my moms hose in Michigan so my fiancé couldn't see it.
Surprisingly it arrived in mid January. According to my timeline my first dress fitting should have been mid April. This past weekend (2/2/13) my mom came down to visit my grandparents and I me her there to visit but also to see my dress!. When she unzipped the bag I had an instant panick attack!
THIS WAS NOTTTTT MY DRESS! The girl had ordered the wrong dress! How in the *** do you screw something so important up? My mother is amazing and took the dress back to Michigan and returned it to DB near her and the correct dress has been ordered now'.
It is expected by June 17th but even then I will need to get in to get fitted an have alterations done before my September 21st wedding day;. I can only imagine if I wouldn't have wanted to see my dress so bad and what if I would have waited until my mid April first dress fitting.. They would have ordered the correct dress then and it would make it in barely a month before my wedding,. Everything is correct now and the right dress is ordered but its a *** shame I had to call to say what the *** how did this happen and to tell them how rude it was that they hadn't called to apologize?.
They said that the girl had to of physically typed in the wrong style number/. I know humans make errors but this is the biggest dress of any girls life and there's is no excuse to order the wrong wedding dress! I will be expecting my alterations for free and will quickly turn into psycho brides ills if anyone at DB has anything to say about it! If you get your dress from DB be very cautious and double and triple check that they ordered the correct dress/.
I'm Leary even getting my bridesmaids dresses here.:( 3061dd3
