Davids Bridal - Rude manager Gail Walters

PLEASE READ!I purchased a gown on line for a first time Mardi Gras Ball and tried to purchase the wrap to match.

I could not add the wrap to my 'cart'. I called the number for assistance and was told the wrap I was requesting would be at me in all colors and styles. This was also stated on line that all David’s carry the wrap in 24 . After I had purchased this beautiful gown, I was diagnosed with melanoma and had large areas of sutures from the removal of the melanoma.

I went to my local David’s and they had 5 colors available, period. GAIL WALTERS who is not only the manager but the head consultant, tried to get me to purchase a 'SWEATER SHRUG' for long strapless formal chiffon gown. REALLY, this was beyond tacky. I was told I could go to another David’s in another state to get the wrap.

I asked if she could get the wrap transferred from Alabama and was told 'NO, WE DO NOT DO STORE TO STORE TRANSFERS'. Gail Walters told me I could pay them to have it sent to me for an additional S&H charge of minimally $30.00, depending on how quickly I needed it. I was heart broken that the online information was misleading but most importantly, there was no sympathy towards my situation. I did choose a wrap out of desperation and asked Gail Walters, 'If I go home and try on my gown with the wrap and it just does not work, could I return it with all tags still attached'.

Gail cancelled my sale and said, 'NO REFUNDS'. As tears welled in my eyes I did ask Gail Walters for any type of courtesy discount towards this wrap, that I could not return and was more than the original one I came in to purchase especially with all the misleading information on David’s Bridal website!. Her comment again was 'NO'". As Gail Walters gave me my purchase and stated in a condensinding manner, 'HOPE YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY TOMORROW';.

WOW REALLY!!! My question is, 'What happened to customer service';. Do people just don't care or have empathy for one another anymore!. What a sad sad world we live, if this is the way people treat one another and can go home and have a good night sleep..

Gail Walters must truly be unhappy with her job and miserable life..

WOW! I agree, people like this Gail Walters DO NOT need to be in public service. I hope you have a wonderful time at your ball and not let someone like this Gail Walters ruin it for you. Good luck with your health... I am planning for my wedding and I will not go to this establishment. Thank You for comments, atleast this will keep me from dealing with this type of rudeness.

Did it ever occur to you that what you are complaining about is company policy, instead of the manager's lace of sympathy? You could probably buy a couple yards of tulle fabric in almost any color and cut it to the width and length you need, no sewing required? Actually a black wrap would go with almost any color dress, and even add a touch of sophistication, which to me it sounds like you need a little of.

Well, you must be Gail's mother, or work for David's Bridal 'I am so sorry our web page was misleading' goes a long way, but that was never said either. I wish I would have read the reveiws because their star rating is 1.4 out of 5. Eough said.
