As a good customer never late and a lot still available.I went to big bear for a little r&r, called in a reservation before leaving.

Just brought that card as its for fun. When I arrived up the icy pass I received an email on my phone stating my available credit has been dropped. Nervious I looked for any other hotel cheep, all were booked because its season and my room was over 200.00. The pass was not drivable back so me and my dog were forced to freeze in my car till morning.

Worst night ever! Was told my credit report changed is why. I only had a couple cards but were closed by the banks for not using them enough a while back.

So at no fault of mine, my credit report shows high ballances which is what happens if you cut all available credit.I tell everyone Max out your citicards quick as they can take it back and leave you to die without a thought or care. 30b9fba

Thank you for telling the public that this risk exists. Credit card companies should have to read you something similar to the Miranda warning that tells you any information you give them can be used against you. I had a similar thing happen that forced me to use an ATM in the ghetto.

Just want to say that yes this does happen and yes it is unforunate however Citi as well as every other bank in the United States does this. Especially since the credit card guidelines change in 2010. Banks have to protect themselves and their customers now more then ever in order to never see another bail out. We have to make better business decisions. So when the credit management team randomly reviews your credit report as they always have if there is something on there that would cause you to be a risk to the bank the bank can and does make the decision to lower the credit line and sometimes even close the account. U are notified in writing when this decision is made and as of the last 6 months they actually contact u by phone also :) It stinks but if u are diggin a hole deeper and deeper in debt they are just helping u by decreasing it

Everyone knows to carry some emergency cash on road trips, are you just nuts or do you expect everyone to just give you free things when you mess up?

If the pass was closed then you could have gone to the police and they would have helped you out for a night.
Something tells me you just suck at driving and were too scared, like little girl, to just go home.

You went on a trip....overnight....and only brought 1 form of payment. You could have brought...cash, debit card, alternate credit card, checks, travelers checks, etc. But no, you put no thought into this and got exactly what you deserved.
