In 07/27/12, I purchased 4 vacation packages from CheapCaribbean.com.Every package included travel insurance suggested by the website through ASSIST-CARD travel insurance!.
Our original flight dates were to the Dominican Republic on October 30 2012 and back on November 4 2012'. Our vacations were cancelled because of Hurricane Sandy.. The airline has refunded money to CheapCaribbean (I verified this and have received a letter from UA)/. The travel insurance company told us to wait 4-6 weeks:.
That time has passed and now they are insisting they need about 3+ more weeks to process my claim; I have concerns that our agreement will not be honored!. When I contacted the airline, they informed CheapCaribbean and I receieved a threatening letter from CheapCaribbean about insurance fraud..
In other words, CheapCaribbean has been reimbursed for our flights but we have received nothing through the travel insurance company they recommended and I have received a threat from CheapCaribbean;.I am concerned that there is indeed fraudulent activity occurring but on their part as they have received funds and I am being given the run around by the company they included with our travel purchase. 300fd79
