orst customer service I've EVER had... sorry this is long BUT

I had signed up in October after moving to Chicago from California. 4 months later my mother was diagnosed with cancer and I moved back to California the day after(ive been back about a month) I had to cancel membership because there is no Charter Fitness in California (otherwise-id obviously keep the membership)

I had called and told them my situation and was told " in order to avoid termination fee send a letter explaining you moved from the address you're at now" i had even asked the gentleman "should i send my proof of address change with it from usps" his answer was "no, the address on the envelope is enough" .... got a voicemail few days later stating that they received my mail, and wanna make this as smooth as possible & to call back- the man on voicemail mumbled his name so when i did call i just explained my situation again after asking for my name- he said "your name isnt popping up- you're in the clear... i CLEARLY wasn't because couple days later my phone alerted that money was drawn out my account! ...

when i called again is when i started getting the attitude....this time a women... i explained the situation again- and she said to send a letter- i must have told her 3 times that i had sent a letter until FINALLY it went through her head and she went to look for it.... after that she said there wasn't enough "proof" (so if i had sent a letter after SHE told me to,it would have?) .. clearly there's no organization amongst the staff, or they just change the requirements to keep your money.. she said i needed to send proof of address change and my one way ticket to california... really? i didn't want to waste another stamp and time so i asked if i can just email that info, at first it was no. and then she said to email it to the original guy that had left me a voicemail. no problemo!

apparently it was a problem... He called me telling me that MY ONE WAY TICKET AND MY PROOF OF ADDRESS CHANGE WASN'T ENOUGH AND THAT I NEEDED A WATER OR ELECTRICITY BILL IN MY NAME at my California address.... i live with my parents i stated soooo...... and he was stuck after that... i did email any possible mail i could under my california address- and now ive been ignored.....all to keep my money? clearly they're desperate.... i had ACTUALLY recommended this gym for my old boss to sign up all the stylist at our work to.. there was 50 employees where i worked--- so they actually lost out more on that then off of my termination fee. eh karmas a B 2f40454
