took 2007 chevy pickup in to see what it was worth sales man said it really nice clean low milage truck took our keys lost them in the shuffle we sit 2 hours and get kicked in the crotch telling us its only worth 11000.00 dollors was 25000.00 big differance car or trucks are only valuable when a owns them when a citizen ownes it you get screwed i hate as much as members of congress who couldn t make a decision on how to paint a out house with out debating it 3157111

Then the LGM wonders why the VOC (voice of customer) is so low, like a negative 5! carmax basically blames the sales consultants to do a better job at greeting the customers and dp more role playing! What a top 100 company to work for!! :upset

anonymous, it is important for the sales associate to set the proper expectations so the customer should not react in a negative OR surprised way. The customer needs to be assured carmax is NOT ripping them off and the customer should not leave with a negative attitude! Yeah, and I am the Queen of England! LMAO

DawnML, You dont need to worry about me getting a job! You need to worry about keeping your job, and more importantly fixing those carmax vehicles that need to be fixed before you sell them. You carmax corporate @SSeS need to worry about more important things than me!

Would you pay $25,000.00 for a 2007 Chevy pick up in great shape? I didnt think so, and the sales consultants cant stand people like you that come in and waste EVERYONE'S time! This is a huge problem with carmax, and these appraisals suck a good majority of the time. You see, this is where carmax TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SALES CONSULTANT! We dont get paid for these appraisals, BUT carmax uses our time. It's just like working in the e-office for free, carmax DOESN'T have to pay for a secratary to answer phones! carmax sucks all the way around!

the sales consultant does get paid if the person sells the car, plus its a good time for the salesperson to get a referal even if the person is not buying car that mat know somebody who does,so its not a waste of time salesman if he knows what he is doing

Yes, they do get paid if the customer sells the car. BUT, if the customers buy a vehicle, the sales consultant DOES NOT get paid for the trade! That sucks! Let's be honest former employee, no customer is going to recommend a referal if they were NOT happy with their appraisal!! They obviously were not happy with carmax, so why should they refer anyone? You make a very silly point.

@ringleader:I dont like carmax either, Thats why I left after 15 yrs of working there and started my own business, Im not wasting my time on posting a comment on every complaint, get a life and go out and do something,Yor will never beat wall street and they will be around for along time and also when poeple read the comments they look over yours because youe so watered down and just a pissed off employee and nobody takes you serious

I am happy you hate carmax also, and I am just trying to post on here as much as I can, because I think these social media and complaint sites will get the message across eventually. I feel like people should voice their opinion, and even though I post very frequently, I want to be heard by the new people as well. I hope carmax is not around a long time.

One more note, carmax is the only company on this site that I complain against. I am a very fair and honest person, so it takes a lot to have me bash a company. I believe in choosing my battles, and carmax is a company I want to see out of business.

carmax is the most arrogant and cocky company around. My manager is very cocky and sarcastic and I wish him all the bad luck in the world!
