I purchased a vehicle from Carmax Irvine, CA on October 20, 2009.
Carmax made written and that the vehicle did not have damage. I filed a complaint with the (BAR). The BAR report is available at www.carmaxlawsuit.com.
The investigation found that is in violation for a false and misleading record on invoice #152007 states "No found. No body damage found" Reinspection found the vehicle has collision damage present.

I have to say since my last comments I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I'm amazed at how unfair I've been to Carmax. They really are a great company. I was just frustrated because sales is a tough racket, and I couldn't quite cut it at Carmax, which obviously left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I've been lashing out on this site for almost a year now! Sorry you guys all had to suffer through that, and I'd also like to offer a personal apology to Carmax as well! Keep up the good work, guys!

Ultimately, I think of Carmax like I think of democracy. It's not perfect by any means, but it's the best option we've got.

HEY RINGLEADER REMEMBER THAT POST? I SURE DO. CHECK OUT LIZZIE'S POST. THE PLACEMENT OF THE COMMA AS WELL AS THE BEGINNING OF THE SENTENCES IN 1ST PERSON. THE SMILEY FACE AT THE END. ringLeader, LIZZIE. THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME. CARMAX CORPORATE. TRY AGAIN COWS!

Hey in2it, I think your right. I am pretty sure you and I and others like EXKMX and many others are getting the attention of corporate. This is a good thing for the public to know and understand what carmax is all about, and what type of employees they have. I truly believe that anyone who tries to defend carmax, will eventually be a stastitic of the turnover rate. Every employee WILL eventually get screwed!

I bought my Subaru at Carmax and was treated very well by the sales people, I had it in for regular service and I've not had any issues with the employees there either. Sorry but I really dont have anything to complain about them they were great. ,)

lizzie, thats good it worked out for you. carmax cant always be bad. The point is there are many employees and ex-employees that are informing what really happens at carmax. People can choose to go there or not, so you take your chances.

Bought a 2006 Cadillac cts with 60K mile drove it the for 30 days and found 15 things wrong with ittook it back and they said that they fixed it, WRONG!!! They *** it up even more and when it came time for them to honor their warranty that i paid for they denied it because an air filter that they checked when i bought the was installed wrong, after endless phone calls i am paying 2400 bucks for a piece of *** car. in conclusion i would rather see my kids die a slow death from aids then buy or refer anyone to this *** dealership.

I suggest if customers that bought the Maxcare (extended service plan) and are not happy with it, cancel it and get your pro-rated refund if you financed Maxcare with your loan and the loan has not been paid off yet. This will lower the loan balance, but the payment will be the same.

I bought a 2003 tbird in 2008 and did the whole thing online. Everything was great. Closest store in over 100 miles away. Coming buy there last year I stopped to because I was leaking power stearing fluid. It was late in the day and they didn't have the part. Well I figured I would drive home and get it fixed. Turns out I got a free rental car, the whole thing only cost 50 bucks. I will for sure use them again

Nice try CarMax corporate. Even going as far as misspelling words on purpose. The 03 Ford Thunderbird was one of the biggest pieces of *** ever made. There is no way that car isnt falling apart by now. Cmon Britt use a Honda next time!

Bad quality cars. Very high prices. Nasty sales tricks that are even more flagrant than at any dealer. And "sorry, no negotiation here." WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE WITH A RIGHT MIND GO TO THESE ROBBERS?"

The worst of the worst. CarSux is a scam, and that clever advertising seems to draw in the pigeons day after day. Don't do it. Don't ever go there. Sadly though, suckers go there thinking its better than a real dealer. Will they ever learn???

Some of you have referred to the fact that you have an extended warranty. We do, too, so let me share our story. We purchased a low mileage Jeep in June 2011 (45K at purchase time.) Nine months later our car has 58K miles and needed a new engine. The total bill: $6529.03. The warranty overage (wait for it...) $45!!!! Yes, that's right. They're trying to escape coverage by saying we drove the car "too far" once it became difficult to steer -- the first and ONLY indication something was wrong. The TRUTH is my husband pulled over immediately upon finding a safe spot. NO one from CNA (warranty company) or Carmax is willing to define "too far." We ARE pursuing legal action but my opinion on the whole thing is this: if you've had a GOOD Carmax experience, quit while you're ahead. We'd had one okay one before this. But when (not IF) you do have a BAD one, it's going to be REALLY bad and they'll only be there to take your money, not offer any customer service. (I've heard countless stories from others about negative experiences they've had since I began telling mine to EVERY ONE I MEET. I WILL hurt their business locally and they deserve that and more. I'm working with two local news channels fraud investigations to spread the word. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!

I think it is very MISLEADING (not illegal) when a sales consultant is explaining to a customer the importance of Maxcare (extended service plan) and that it's "peace of mind" to protect your investing with high repair bills. Well first off, they make $100 commission, and secondly, they don't explain that if you drive "too far" after the it becomes difficult to steer, your warrant is VOID! How shady is carmax, not honoring what they claim? They are as low as a company can get, and would rather screw customers than have a great reputation!

You took your Benz to a Carmax for service? Seriously. I understand where you are coming from on being upset... but honestly even if you bought it there, they are not set up to work on that car.

I bought a Dodge Ram 3 years ago from Carmax. I think they are wonderful. My truck is AWESOME and any problems I have had have been taken care of. Also have the extended warranty and haven't had to pay for anything. It's all how you deal with people. I demand the service and I get it.

SixsGirl, you WILL have problems with your Dodge Ram for sure, because history shows it. You better have it serviced when service is due to get the most you can out of it. Secondly, don't think you get to DEMAND service, and get it! That is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard. Just because you think you know how to "deal with people", that does not mean squat.

I went to that site you pointed out r27bella, and came across a Jesse C. Fields lawsuit. Jesse is sueing carmax for racial discrimination. Now I just want to comment and say from my experience at carmax, there was NOT a lot of professionalism from management. I have experienced unprofessionalism from 2 out of the 4 managers in my time. There has also been racial comments that I have heard, but it was "friendly", and what I mean by that is the workers involved were completely ok with it. My point is, carmax management was ok with it also, and that to me is NOT professional. So if things like that get passed over, it's no wonder there are other problems with the treatment of employees.
