I have excellent credit and applied and was granted a Capital One Venture Card.When I called in to authenicate the card I was immediately given over to the security division?.

They asked that I send a copy of drivers license, social security card, and a recent bill with my name on it/. I complied 100%/. A day later I received a call back now asking that I send them a different utility bill, and a statement from the social security office stating that the number I provided was correct'. Why would a company like this give me so much grief?

Personally it is not worth the hassle". I asked them to remove my information from their system and I would cut their card up". I was going to use this for my small business'. My purchases would have been approximately $200,000 a year But who needs this kind of hassle?.

I am all for reasonable security but I am sure I am not the only one out there who was treated like a criminal by Capital One for applying for a credit card. 2f96e30
