I work for a nursing home.We received a referral on a patient at the local hospital.
Unfortunately this person has BCBS of VA!. We were directed to an associate named "Shanta" which by the way I am still looking into how to make a complaint'. Our business office manager was spoken to horribly, because we left more than one message on her line:. (two to be exact) This "Shanta" was so vindictive that she held up the process of getting this pre auth/.
done that this person had to spend the weekend in the hospital instead of getting settled at our facility and starting their rehab|. Anyone knowing how I can make a formal complaint, please let me know.. I have had to contact BCBS on many occasions to check benefits and they have by far the most rude customer service reps I have ever dealt with|.
I would never recommend this insurance company/.They are very cold and uncaring. 3059895
