Diamond Earrings worth $3500.00 purchase price approximately $300.00 were of very poor quality.Returned them with the said reason only to find out the charged me a 15% ($54.00) restocking fee.

This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable. I could understand if I just didn't like them but there was no sparkle in them at all. Very, Very dull. I am being charged for their poor quality merchandise.

Dealing with their chat online service is not professional or dependable. They seem not to now what they are talking about.

And the attitude is unbelievable.Totally dissatisfied former customer. 3851e9c

Yes restockong fee's are going to be on the rise, in days gone by they would be able to resell item quickly and it was a part of doing business. But now with all the bean counters, they are able keep costs down.
I have purchased at least 7 items from Bids.com. 2 were of fair quality the rest were very nice. I do think that the bidding is rigged on some items, I have written to them but get a cookie cutter reply

Restocking fees are standard these days, the companies that aren't doing it will be doing it soon. Unfortunately it is a way detering the consumer from returning things. You have to understand that some people just return things after using them for "show" for a short period of time. If you pay with a credit card it costs a company to process it and it costs again to refund your money but legally they cannot charge you for that...so...hence companies created the "restocking fee" as a way of recouping loses.
